Topic: FUCKING SNEEZE!

Last night I woke up in the middle of the night for no reason. And then I got that feeling... you know... that feeling where you KNOW your nose is going to start bleeding. So I went to the bathroom and let the blood drip in my hand. I spent and hour with tissues and frozen pees and all getting things settled and when back to bed.

Ok, it's been more than 24 hours since then and I felt sneeze comming on. I was like, "OH SHIT! It'll probably start bleeding again if I sneeze!" So somehow I got out of sneeze mode. Then 30 seconds later I SUDDENLY sneezed without warning!

FUCKING SNEEZE!!

So now the pees are out again...

I, for one, won't make fun of you, because I had a fucking nosebleed for a week.

my nose has never bleed... well, not a "nose bleed" bleed, atleast.

Anyways, this helps most the time for me when I gotta sneeze: thing of the sound giraffes (sp?) make. If you don't know, try to figure it out. It gets your mind off the sneeze and also gives you a good conversational tool: "Excuse me, do you know what sound giraffes make?"

I have nose-bleeds a lot..

One thing that strikes me about it is the taste of blood. It's not actually bad, but i could spend hours trying to find a way to describe the taste...

One thing i love is when it coagulates - when it's been bleeding on and off for an hour or two, and it forms a big string..

It's always great fun pulling one of those out of your face - otfen they're longer than you expected and you can feel it running past your palate..

I remember having a nosebleed for no reason before a basketball game. So trainers just plugged it up with gauze. At halftime I removed the gauze and the amount of half-congealed blood was quite amazing.

Also still fairly sickened to even just think about it.

i always get nosebleeds in the summer it usually ends with a big glob of snot falling out that was obviously putting pressure on a weak blood vessel

My coworkers and I had a discussion on which would be worse to have: two black eyes or a nosebleed. We came to a unanamous decision that two black eyes would be alot better than a bloody nose. I get them frequently and they are annoying to say the least. Especially because my blood doen't clot very well so it ends up bleeding for a good hour or two on end. Not cool when this happends at sk00l.

ive had like 2 nosebleeds in my life. one was actually caused by sneezing too hard. i sneeze all the time, and theyre like chains, like 10 in a row....but it always leaves me cleared out....a bit messy, but cleared.

One time I had this REALLY REALLY bad snotty head cold. I was on the bus and I ran out of tissues, and I started to sneeze, but I held my nose so no snot flew out. Then I kept sneezing over and over like 10 times and kept hold my nose. And this kid was making fun of me, so in between sneezes I said,
"You wanna *sneeze* see *sneeze* why I'm *sneeze* holding my nose *sneeze*!?"

And he was like, "HAHAHAHA!"

So then I let go and sneezed all over him and totally covered him in snot!!! THAT'LL LEARN HIM!!!

god damnit. why does EVERYONE EXCEPT ME GET NOSE BLEEDS?! seriously. almost everyone i know get these some times. its weird. its never happened to me.

...except the one time i landed funny on my snowboard and ate it... that hurt.

I think.

I've never tasted salty iron, but if I had, I'm sure that's what it would taste like. Ummm, yeah... That's it.

i always enjoy that little thing that happens after the bloody nose:

you get it stopped, yet the clot is blocking the flow of air. you snort, the clot goes into your throat, and you spit it out. it sits there in the sink while you wonder if that little dark red gelatinous fucking blob came out of you. yum.

melk0r, your post made me laugh so hard I have tears in my eyes... I dunno what it was, probably how graphic you were. rotfl

Anyway, I think that blood would logically have a more 'salty iron' taste due to the natural iron content of red blood cells, as well as the natual sodium content throughout our entire bodies... (Maybe I analyzed that one too much?)

Ugh, I do surgery every damn day and see a hella lot of blood, but fuckin-a, all these gory descriptions are making me sick :P

Hm, though I don't know if pulling bloody gauze out your nostril can beat pulling out a bloody tampon out of the cave of wonders ...

Work that one out, but it's true.

Haemoglobin contains iron. That makes it red.

Similarly, a crab's blood is blue. That's because it uses a copper ion instead of an iron one like we do.
