Usually not going out, except rarely with a bunch of my girl friends to the movies, I am gonna go to the theatre on Friday night to see "Romeo & Juliet". And who goes to the theatre with me? The only man a girl can rely on. My dad.

This is actually not how things should be! My mom should go with my dad. And I should go with someone my age. Something is going wrong here... How can German guys be educated to taste and dating culture?

PS: My dad and I are probably gonna have fun... we'll be talking about motorcycles all the time...

BTW: It's not just Germany. Most Europeans don't have the same dating culture as they do in America. I couldn't get used to the idea when I was studying over there. Guys ask girls out just to have someone go out with them so they're not the only one alone out of their buddies. Where I grew up, you only asked a girl on a date if you were interested. I guess that's the same unspoken men's rule in Germany huh?
I guess it's that Europe has such a pub culture, most of our mixing and meeting is done there, so we don't all need a date to end up chatting to someone for the evening.
