By the way, the email I recieved was from < http://cupid.thespark.com/ >

I put in about 10 emails of girls that I'd like to bang, but never got any emails confirming they put my email address into the site.

If I'd have put in the correct name, I'd know because then I'd instantly get a response saying that we 'matched'. But since I didn't get that response, those 10 people got the same mail message I got, and either just deleted it or never entered my name... (I prefer to think they just deleted the message.)

Either way, I no longer care who put my name in the site to begin with, since it obviously wasn't any 1 of 10 girls I was interested in.

If I REALLY wanted to know who it was, I'd just put every email address of everyone I know in there until I got a match back, and then I'd just write them and say "Not Interested, just curious."

The Spark didn't try and sell me anything. I assume they just got their loot from advertising banners sent out in the email, and from the website.

icrush works the same way. I don't care enough really to go through all this shit it just annoys me a little I guess. Like I said people have my email address but its mostly friends of mine (and very few male I might add) so I dont know.
Anyway *shrug*
I just find it frustrating

Anyone else get fucking lame ass emails from these retards? The whole point is to put in the email address of everyone you know to find out who has the crush on you when in fact no one does because they are just trying to figure out who had the crush on them, so you end up getting an email because they couldnt figure out that it wasnt you who sent it.
I got the email this morning and Im fucking around with the website trying to get a clue about who would do such a thing and so far no luck. Honestly I want to find the motherfucker who put my name on this damn thing and kill them (unless they are cute) now I wouldnt be making a deal about this if it wasnt for the fact that the account the email was sent to very few people have (just my friends ) ie its not a hotmail account or web based email- so not to say they couldnt spam it but its a pop edu account so its harder so has to be someone I know and not just a random mistake. Plus if it was just a random thing it would have said
Christine,

Someone has a crush on you! Want to find out who it is? Click on the following link.
and then the stupid link
but it said
Chris
(you know the rest) and only my friends call me Chris (or Chrissy as the nick implies)so it cant be just some random thing or can it? Anyone else get one of these annoying emails and found it to be complete bullshit? I just want to know if there is a way I can track the person down without entering the email addresses of everyone I know in the world (cause I dont want all these people to think I have "crush" on them when I don't).
Anyway fill me in.

Though if she's wrong, then he gets the email and the chain continues.

But wait, what if that isn't necessarily a bad thing? Hmm...

/me continues rooting through junk drawer for tools of evil.

I'm not putting in my ex's email address cause I already know it wasnt him. What would be the point. Im just peeved cause I kind of want to know who it is or if its just like a mass email thing...
I dunno

I haven't used icrush.org but I've used something similar.

The way IT worked was someone went to the site to inform 'someone' that they had a crush on them.

That one person would recieve an email stating someone had a crush on them and to visit the site and type in the email address of ALL the people they had crushes on. Then all those people got the SAME email the someone got.

The only time you are confirmed that the person put YOUR name in, is if you put THEIR name in. Afterwhich both parties recieve an email stating they each have a crush on each other.

==========================================

So what I'm getting at, is you won't ever know who it is, unless you enter in their email address. And it's very possible your ex could have put your name in. Either because he wanted to see if you still liked him, OR because he recieved that SAME email and is curious if YOU put HIS name in.

==========================================

I realize this is all very confusing to read, but just think about it a bit and it'll all make sense.

yeah i've gotten that crap too. they DO try to get you to PAY MONEY to get HINTS. if you follow a link of banners you get a small hint, but it's totally meaningless, like on the lines of "Your crush's first name begins with a letter between F and P!" (without an A in between haha). anyway i'm suspicious that no one put my name in and that the whole site is just a scheme to get a massive chain link of emails to sell to advertisers.

I just got one from crush-link... came on to rant and it looks like someone beat me to it! I looked at the "guess" boxes and then said, "GENIOUS! But it makes me want to KILL you!" and I didn't enter any. FUCK IT! IF someone DOES have a crush on me they can tell me strait up without some retarted service spamming me! And if my MOM did this, it's my SECOND reason to sue her! (Reason I'm Suing #1: Children who take alot of floride tablets may have discoloration and pits in their permanent teeth! Guess who is paying a dentist 񘷠 to fix discoloration and pits... guess who was handing out florid tabs like candy...)

Yep, I got hit with one from Crush-Link, or something. I put in a few email addresses, and now I have people asking me why I have a crush on them, when I was just trying to figure out who put me on their list. What's worse, I know people that have more than one email address, but I don't know which one they would use.

I'm frustrated. I don't remember seeing any banners on the site, but my fear is that they're QUICKLY building up a great spamming list. That pisses me off. I will say, however, that the concept is brilliant... as brilliant as the Melissa virus.

floride? there is like 5 ppm of floride in the water to prevent cavities. it helps whiten teeth and kill bacteria. i didn't know you could get floride pills tho.
