With any luck in 24 hours, that is Thursday night pacific, you'll be looking at a new site! *Blastoff!* And naturally there is a real chance the site will be down. Let's see what Jim coughs up. He sounds amazing. Dear God, please bless Detnet in this turbulent week! Posted by jim on Jul. 11 2002,14:14
LOL. Tonight?I doubt it. We haven't even discussed it yet. I have all the code, sure. I've even reworked much of the color scheme and graphics. But there are still some issues to work out. For instance, do you want to loose all the Ikonboard posts and users and require people to re-register? Has anyone installed php on the DetNet server? If you want to make a seemless transistion, you're going to have to install this independent of the existing site, check for bugs and compatability problems, and then do a light switch cutover. All these things I can help you with, but you need to set aside some time to discuss them. Which I believe we agreed on 3pm your time 5pm my time tonight. I hardly think that gives us enough time to be live by tonight as well... Posted by forumwhore on Jul. 11 2002,19:11
*cough*You've touched on a couple of my questions... Kay, tonight we'll plow the field and make ready for the new crop. Anything I would want to tell the webhost about? Posted by ic0n0 on Jul. 11 2002,19:13
New site? What is going on? I am so lost!!!

Look for Jim's "constructive criticism or help" thread. You should be very pleased! Posted by jim on Jul. 11 2002,19:25
There is an incomplete test version here:< http://www.omni-elite.com/detnet/ > If you want all the Ikonboard posts and users converted over, I'll need a dump of the database in order to import it into phpBB via a compliler someone else wrote, from there I can easily convert the phpBB full code over to the phpBB port code. Webhost needs to do nothing. Server Admin (which may be the same person) needs to install PHP on the server. Posted by forumwhore on Jul. 11 2002,19:31
Got the popup but not the site... I'll look again in a bit, after I do "something" about my day job. Posted by jim on Jul. 11 2002,19:34
Ooops, typo. Fixed now.
