If you're a RPG fan, you owe it to yourself to play this game. The sheer size of the world, and numbers of quests is awe inspiring. As far as non-linear gaming goes, I've never seen anything that could even remotely compare.Anyhow, I just had to stop and recommend this truely amazing game. If you want details, ask. Until then, I must get back to my newfound addiction. Posted by ic0n0 on May 02 2002,16:37

I've been playing Morrowind for awhile now. While the game is truely huge, etc. etc... This is what ends up bothering me the most about the game. I eventually got bored with it, because there is just to much to do. Too many houses to visit, then when you do, you end up rummaging through everyones pockets, sacks, chests, crates, etc... Too many things to ask every single person you come across... If you have no life at all, and can dedicate 4 hours a day to playing this thing, you may dig it. Otherwise, find yourself a "free" "demo" copy and play it for a week, then toss it. Plus, Neverwinter Nights is coming out soon, and that game will be the game to end all other games. I actually haven't played Morrowind in about a week and half. The editor that comes with it is nearly as addicting if you enjoy that sort of thing. I've lost count of all the plugins I've released already. The game is definately not everyone's cup of tea, but it's definately still a nice game to pass the time with. It'll also serve as a good benchmark for other games to compare to. With the whole slew of new MMORPG's on the horizon, only time will tell what the next big hit for the RPG market is. Some friends and myself already have our NWN server up and running for when it officially releases. None of us managed to get into beta. Hopefully it will live up to everyone's expectations. |
