The original backbone my cable company was using was @Home's. If I wanted to ping a machine that was at my neighbour's house, it would go through buffalo first.

Right now the video is broadcast via satellite to all the offices and then encoded as Mpeg and run over the local lan from there. The future plan is to stream it over the WAN ...there are a few demos we're setting up, I'll let you know how it goes. I think it's going to kill the current network, but At&t promises to give us all the bandwith we need to pull it off. We'll see.

15 minutes for a 4-5 meg song.
