< Canni's page >This started as a project to make a ghetto webserver. It worked (apache win32.) then I tried out some server-side scripting stuff. on goes PHP/perl. Then I attempted installing ikonboard. that worked. then I finally did something with my PHP/perl, and marked up my pages to do PHP includes. Today, I installed a Javascript navbar, and finished up with all my PHP markup. All of my content is on one page, and it is teh liet. --cannibal Posted by Bob_the_Cannibal on Jul. 10 2002,10:36

Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061) This error was reported at: Sources/iDatabase/Driver/mySQL.pm line 55. Please note that your 'real' paths have been removed to protect your information. I think I broked it. Posted by compact3000 on Jul. 10 2002,14:47

I remember when I ran an ISP and got questions from webmasters because my server was "broken". I would look at the source and see things like <img src="file://c:/my%20documents/web%20stuff/images/image.jpg"> and tell the customer that he needed to convert this to a path that was relative to his website. The customer usually replied with "You idiot ...I'm looking at my local copy of the site and it works perfect ...if you don't fix this today I'm going to move my site to another ISP", to which I would reply "ok ...well then I'm going home for the day".BTC ...good luck, just remember to think of everything from the server's point of view. *grin* no, I shut down mySQL because of a couple smartasses in #detnet, spamming the "invite a friend" feature...
