from what he writes in that thread it's almost as if his ip or subnet got banned. maye it's just his crappy ISP. if it doesn't start working for him in the next few days i'd check the list of banned subnets and ips in case his is on the list.

every few days detnet doesnt come up at all. i get a 404 error
i hate that. plus its weird cause it doesnt seem to do that for anyone else.

yeah, I get a 404 every once in a while, but just F5 it and everything is fine.

that doesn't work for me. typin in the url again doesnt work either.i use dialup, if you (any admin) ban a IP address, and i get it, would that cause my prob?
or do you not ban IPs?

Banishment is discussed more than done.I banished renegadesnark and his email from AdminCP.
Someone, I think DL, wrote the webhost and had him banned there too, right at the server.
'course even I have an AOHELL disk and can get a new IP.
I don't know a lot about banning since I would rather have more members than fewer....
The server has gone down several times lately, once for an entire day.
It was physically moved if I understand.
I just thought of this, what if you Googled Detonate (#1) and tried to get in via that? Or the cache? or... you guys are smart, tell him something I haven't thought of...

i tried that too. i've had probs with other sites and i'm thinking of just switching to another ISP in the next month or two. maybe ISPWest.

Verizon DSL is pretty ok as far as ISPs go. DNS server goes to shit for 2-3 hours about once a month, but otherwise good.im posting from school. still can't get in from home.
sorry if i was making it appear to puce-groupies that detnet is dead. hell, i thought it was judging by the thread title and my inexplicable inability to connect.

well holy shit, guess who's back?i think Verizon is re-arranging its networks. just did another tracert, and hops 3-6 look totaly different. Im getting routed through the DC hub instead of the New York one. (wich is really fricken odd, cause i called verizon the other day about trying to figure out a way to connect to detnet [no help there], and heard a recorded message that their service was down in the DC area.)
oddly enough, the last few hops that looked totaly fucked up (like they were a missconfigured router) are still the same, but hop 15 is where i need to get to instead of a timeout. Spiffy!
