I thought this was funny so I posted it. It's a monitor in a computer lab that they modded so the plug would come out the front for some reason.

Hi, that is a big picture.It looks like someone just got bored and was screwing around. There doesn't seem to be any functional purpose for it.

I would have to assume that there was some purpose at some time. It seems like a lot of work for just no reason. And although the craftsmanship could be better, it could have been a lot worse too.

it's not hard to do at allas a matter of fact it can be done in a matter of minutes. just a matter of taking off the cover and drilling a hole. perhaps resoldering 3 wires. nothing more to it.
but it certainly looks amusing.

Quiet frankly try resoldering about 7 wires depending on your monitor. Monitor cables are not universal, found that out in computer repair. Yes we accutally fix power supplies, monitors, even fixed a couple cracked mobo's its fun, I just hang out in there right now though, not going on my schedule till next fall.-dave
