all I can figure out that's causing this error is the mysql tables got messy.  I have no system access to the site, but I'm helping my friend maintain it.  he said he was setting up another person's site just like it, and all he did was go in and check a couple things on ours to make sure he was doing it right on the other.  He never backed up the mysql tables, though...

the site's www.psychopathicforums.com, and it's a YaBB SE forum site.  Like I said, I have no access to it but through the board's admin stuff, but he can set me up an account on the system and stuff.  So far all I can tell him to do is contact the webhost and see if they backed up the mysql tables, so we can just install all over and install the dumps anew.  The tables are there, he can log in and go through the stuff, and all the PHP seems to be fine.  The only thing I can figure is somewhere along the line when he was checking some of our stuff he slipped up and typed a letter here or there, but he said he didn't even save, he just closed the whole thing when he was finished.  Any ideas are more then welcome...
