Maybe it's my lack of sleep or total frustration with my damned router - but when explorer.exe crashed out on me - I left the bloody thing that way. I'm running with zero excess processes - only what I need to survive.Looks nice, too. No XP crap all over, and the whole thing's got a polished gunmetal look to it. Try it. Run taskmgr and kill the Explorer process. God almighty damn, do I need sleep. Posted by ic0n0 on Mar. 26 2002,15:34
Sleep is good my friend.

After many hours of sleep and hacking - Blackbox XP is still useful to me. Not as funny anymore, but useful. On a totally different note, I got Midori running on my IA-1. Thanks for including the CF slot, Compaq. (Morons.) Stomper Posted by editor on Mar. 28 2002,02:05
Thanx, Mr StompMaster, I'm getting XP in a few days and I'll give your advice a spin...

that was good for a laugh, any other ways to launch a new app beside the new task thing in task manager?

Yup ... start a command-line prompt and go Linux-esqe. "start (name or document)" - it searches a helluva lot of directories. I think everything that's a registered program is game with just the name; "start ICQ" worked but some other's didn't. If someone wants to host, I've got some nice screens. Off-topic: I seriously fucking hate JS.Exploits. I went to this one site looking for some pics of the Pagani Zonda - Norton lit up like a n00b spotted by Wolfguard. < The Pagani Zonda - Damn, I want one. > Stomper |
