does anyone know any good software for capturing in game footage and editing. preferably these two criteria:

FREE (or cheapish)
GOOD (not some disgustingly complex program but still very usable)

uhm...
i know for a fact that you cna record counter-strike games with ease. you just gotta pick the option.
and in Homeworld, you can record games. but sometimes those are too long with little action in the beginning, but its still cool.

ok where is this option for CS as i havent had time to really get into the cogs and gears of the thing i've just been playing it.

and what i really wanted to know this for was i wasnted to capture video for hidden and dangerous. anyone know if H7D has a feature for that?

give hypersnapDX a shot. i think it's designed for stills, but...

alternatively, plug together 2 pcs, one with tv-out and one with tv-in, and tape the tv input...
