why does this thing keep opening when I go to hotmail? kinda lame...(I do have it set to not load when windows starts). How do I get rid of this cheese?

I had the same problem, it would load no mater what I did. Even when I gave the fucker the three finger salute (ctrl alt del) it would come right back. You can get rid of it the same way I did, uninstall the fucker.

how the fudge do you uninstall it it's not listed in the add/remove programs and there is no uninstall file...

Dunno, I found it (msn messenger) in the add/remove programs. looks like you’re screwed.

go to Program Files
and remove a folder called messenger
then go to start -> run and type in regedit
once that pops up go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run
and HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run
and there delete the entry leading to messenger startup in both of those
as for xerox folder, i have no clue what is up with that, but i learned to live with that. mine is emply, but still can't be deleted. and if i delete is from other OS it's there when i reboot.
hope that helps

Edit: fixed the registry location

reinstall to see if the uninstall link is there or just delete folder and use easycleaner to get rid of most of the dead registry keys
