can anybody sudgest a free web host (i don't care about the banners) that has full support for cgi. Preferably of course would be like a unix shell or a server that allows to set file and folder permissions. Why do i need all that? Well mostly because i was inspiered by cr0bar to use ikonboard and want to figure out how to use it. I am planning on making my own page once i get more cash and get my own webhost, but for now i am looking for a free one just to host the ikonboard. I tried a few unix shell accounts that host webpages but they wouldn't allow me to upload files through ftp, so i have no way of getting my files to the server. And unix shell is preferable because it is very easy to set permissions (chmod) for files and folders. I found a few web hosts that support cgi, but they don't allow me to set proper permissions needed for the ikonboard to run. Any help would be appreciated. I can also install it on my computer, but i don't have enough hard drive space to install linux and perl and all that right now. Any sudjestions would be greatly appreciated. I think something like f2s.com do that ... it's been mentioned before on these boards, do a search or ask Observer.
