Gah, you can tell it's the Age of the Gentleman when a red ribbon round yer tackle will no longer suffice.I recommend anything by Epson. Posted by Observer on Aug. 21 2001,00:52
As a birthday gift? Well, I'm not going to debate that right now. Personally I recommend Lexmark printers if you want a good inkjet.Edit: They can do what most equivalent Epsons can do but for a whole lot less. What do I use? Oh, I still use an Epson LQ-850. Still works quite nicely with my C128D and PCs sharing it. ------------------ This message has been edited by Observer on August 21, 2001 at 07:53 PM Posted by Dark-Angel99 on Aug. 21 2001,04:40

The photo copyier at work is broke so I would appreciate you not making fun of me! ------------------ Posted by t|nt|n on Aug. 21 2001,09:10

Printing tons of paper with the copier broken? Well, if that's what you need, see if your boyfriend can afford a Xerox DocuPrint. We have a 4525 here at work, and it's very fast.------------------ Posted by blanalex on Aug. 21 2001,15:17
If you're going to print in high volume and don't absolutely need color, I strongly suggest to go for a laser printer. It is more expensive when you buy it, but the cartridges are lot cheaper for the same number of copies. For instance, the estimated cost for a page (with 5\% coverage) on a laser is 5¢, while the same page on most ink-jet will vary between 25¢ to 50¢. ------------------ Posted by demonk on Aug. 21 2001,16:00
That's true about laser being cheaper per page, as long as your printer is a newer one. I recently went with my gf to help her buy a new cartridge for her old laser printer. Since it was for an old one, the cartridge was going to be around 赉US, if not more! But the cartridges for the newer printers were around ์-๖. Now that is a better price. Anyway, keep that in mind when you look at one. It may be cheaper now and for another year, but then it keeps getting more and more expensive.------------------ This message has been edited by demonk on August 22, 2001 at 12:56 PM Posted by RenegadeSnark on Aug. 21 2001,21:00
