question #1: How exactly does netmeeting work?

question #2: Why don't the telephone companies not try to have it forbidden because it cuts in on their profits?

question #3: Who of you people here has netmeeting?

answer #1: it's < peer-to-peer >. A bit like < napster >, < bithive >, < eDonkey2000 > and < morpheus >, but with no central server. It allows users to chat, share a whiteboard, and look at each other get < naked > on a webcam.

answer #2: Because it's still small-scale, because they would get laughed out of court, and because it makes users have to be online a long time (which on dialup gets phone companies some money)

answer #3: I had it when I borrowed a friends webcam for a bit, but the novelty wore off after, ohh, 3 hours. However if you are planning on getting a webcam and getting naked I may be willing to reconsider my decision.

Sorry but I am not gonna have a webcam anytime soon (read: you are NEVER gonna see me naked online). Voice chat is enough technical struggle for me right now.

I have netmeeting and I have a cam. I only use netmeeting when I want to privately talk to a friend that way the whole world isn't watching whatever I do.

please tell me somehting like that american pie thing inst possible that would be very sad. i'm pretty sure it isnt unless theres some service that provides some sort of main server dish out service or the guy had some phat T3 line going down
