Never heard of such blasphemy. Why do you want video and sound on one board, btw?

VideoLogic PowerVR Apocalypse 5Ds. AGP, 8MB PowerVR graphics, SB16-compatible sound. Not bad.Or an nVidia NV1 I shit you not. Diamond and nVidia actually made one. It even accepts Sega Saturn control pads (and light guns! w00t!) My question = why? Get an SB Live PCI and a good 3D card. (Mmm ... geForce3) Posted by damien_s_lucifer on Jul. 23 2001,18:02
If you're looking for a way to send video AND audio data to a TV, either 1. Use a vid card with RCA video out, and use your sound card's line out to go to the TV, or 2. Use the same setup above, but run the video and audio signals into a separate RF modulator available at most stores that sell A/V equipment. (about ฮ) I actually do #2 at my house... we don't have cable, but the house is wired for it. So I got an RF modulator and plugged it into a spare cable outlet... I can play divx movies and watch them in a different room. Just tune to channel 3 Posted by The_Stomper on Jul. 23 2001,18:40
Bah. RCA output blows goats. SVideo all the way.Now if only they'd make a 3D card with component-out ... my 32" HDTV is sitting there having to deal with the SVideo. Poor me. |
