Well, I'm finally getting windows98SE back onto one of my computers so I can do some different stuff, and I just thought about it. It's been a long ass time since I've run Windows.

What's some good software for doing stuff? MP3 ripping/playing/etc, games, and other fun little diddle-daddies. Think I should just run through download.com for a few days getting stuff?

tweakall or tweakui is good for just generally fucking about with your config.

imesh is good for downloading "objectional" material

oh and a good thing to try when installing is how much crap you can lift out of the install i know someone who got win98 down to about 32 meg

I use Music Match for ripping, and Winamp for playing. last I checked both work well in 98.

That’s funny, I usually try to see how much stuff I CAN install (less disk changing and whatnot)
A full install of Baldur’s Gate is 2.36 Gigs
