Topic: The dreadful firewall of horror and suffering

My school just decided to install a wonderful little firewall (thanks nap-fucking-ster) and today I came to a horrible realization when I tried to fire up unreal tournament: it no longer connects to gamespy and therefore I can no longer play across the net. I found the following somewhere on the Internet:
If you're playing the game on a computer that's connected to a corporate network, the network's firewall may not allow you to connect to Internet games.
If anyone knows how to get around this I would be very grateful, as I am in danger of becoming a productive human being

Get in friendly with the admin. Get him to open up the appropriate ports for you, or get a login to the firewall.They're designed to have no solution to your particular problem.
