alright, so a while ago i had some trouble with my boot drive, and so i switched it for one that had aboot 1/3 the capacity. i now have my box configured just the way i like it, and i am now looking for an app to transfer my boot partition to another drive. specifically the drive which pissed me off, but works fine now. anyone know anything to help me?

Drive Image and Ghost come to mind.

I believe Symantec has a trial version available which might work for your immediate needs.

edit: That's for Ghost.
