I'm moving into a new house at the end of the month - but i still have my cable contract. The guys at this house already have cable. This means that there's going to be 2 cablemodems (512/128) going into the house.

The house is fully networked up. When I move there will be 7 machines - at the moment the gateway is a Win2k server however I'm gonna swap that out with a linux box of mine.

My question is this.

I'm sure theres a way of channel-bonding (modem teaming) two cable modems under linux (kernel 2.4) but I'll be fucked if I can find out how.

Discuss.

Easy. The hard part is finding a script to divy up the packets intelligently.

Well duh. Yes I can put 3 network cards in the machine but how are the machines on the lan going to use both streams? Or would it not matter as theyd specify the internal IP as a gateway?
