A guy in my Win2000 class thought he'd be funny and initiate a system shutdown on my class machine today. His message? "DIE!!!"

So tomorrow I'm getting even. He and I both have Administrator rights on the domain, so I can access his C$ share... I'm thinking of connecting to his drive, renaming explorer.exe to explorer.pif, and copying calc.exe to explorer.exe.

That way, when he logs on... Welcome to Calculator!

Does anyone have a better idea? The rules :

- it can't be broken so bad that Win2K needs to be reinstalled - actually, it should only take a minute to fix if you know what you're doing.

- no Trojans or other hax0r code.

explorer.pif -> subseven.exe.

Oh, wait - no h4x0r code. :P

The EXE shuffle sounds good - but why stop there? Just fux0r with all his filenames. Make him open up those ones he never uses.

I'm sure I'll think of some soon.

Heheheh... I used to have some fun in those classes...

One of my favorite things to do, is unjoin them from the domain.

Simple enough, yet causes lots of havock if they don't realize that there computer isn't part of the domain. Just open up trusty server mangler and delete them. If it's a Win2k domain, remove their computer from active directory...

HAHAHA I just got the best idea. I'm gonna code something to go to a directory and randomly shuffle all the files contained therein. Do it to my documents when the person has a lot!

lol something we did at work to this guy ...
basically go into IE's proxy settings (Tools --> internet options --> connections) and for the proxy put gay pr0n, eg < www.bigcocks.com > and the port as 80. It pornalizes everything they look at! Funny as fuck!

You should do something with the scheduler service, which is running by default in Win2K. The really nice thing about the scheduler service, is that if you don't specify the "/interactive" switch, the command you specify runs as system. No user can kill the process, not even the Administrator account.

A really fun thing to do is setup something to run an annoying wav file on repeat. The only way to get it to stop playing is to reboot the box. So if you setup a command to schedule annoying.wav to play five minutes after the box is booted, it will really confuse the hell out of your target.

So, the scam works like this:
1) Setup a task to be scheduled sometime after the box starts.
2) Schedule a specific task without using the "/interactive" command, so the only way the target can get it to stop is to reboot the box.
3) Sit back and laugh as the task is rescheduled every time he starts the box.

C:\WINNT\system32\gpedit.msc
The group editor.
On the computer config take away his shutdown and logoff icons on the start menu. Better yet, take EVERYTHING off his start menu. Then, deny him rights for anything in the control panel through regedit. "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Control Panel\Don't load" is the key, I believe. Check on < http://www.regedit.com > . Set his resolution to 640x480 and set a background image. Also, deny him rights to regedit.exe, regedt32.exe, cmd.exe, you get the picture. And screw up his drivers.

#include /usr/local/mischief

I always liked setting up PCAnywhere to run as a background service on the target's PC. Then just dial up (or connect via IP) and randomly mess with them. Fight their mouse pointer, cancel their actions, etc...

Another good one for the computer illiterate is to mess with MS Word's autocorrect settings. Something like automatically changing the word "the" to "vagina." Minutes of hilarity followed (potentially) by hours of hiding or expulsion if you do it to a prof.
