What's a fair price for a used Palm III unit?I know that there's 4 different series 3 Pilots - can you give me suggestions on which one is best for the money (not "best equipped" or "best bargain" - best for the money). Example - โ USD = Palm III + Hotsync + manuals ... essentially new. Good?

I got a palm IIIxe. I barely use it. I just use it for a calculator (paranslite, the normal calc sucks ass), and to play games on while everyone else is taking notes (22+ million bucks in dopewars!). I've been considering selling it, but I'm not to sure yet....------------------

Spydir - would you consider selling your IIIxe to me for a decent price? I also have some DC and PSX/PS2 stuff for trade, as well as some PC shiznat.So is โ USD a good price for a regular Palm III? Let me know please - the offer won't stand for long. Spydir - if you do want to sell it, let me know and I'll get peregrin in on the Palm III deal. There is a difference between the III and the IIIx besides the 2MB/8MB RAM - the IIIx/xe has the Dragonball-EZ and the 4bpp vs 1bpp screen. Bottom line - Spydir, wanna make some money?

I've got some Dreamcast hardware (light gun, controller, memory cards), a Nokia 252C cellphone (analog only), 64MB PC133, a TNT2 PCI, a 3com 10MBit NIC, and a USR 56K PCI modem. Offhand I can't think of much else.

don't (or want) a dreamcast, I hate cellphones (blame my dad), and all that hardware either sucks or I have no use for. So yeah... just buy one off that ebay thing, because I think I'm happy with the palm anyway. I like charging people money to use it to play games with in class...------------------

Palm sux. I had to write an inventory prog from hell for one once, and ever since then I couldn't stand them. If one more person tries to put my email into their Palm without spending the maditory week away at grafitti boot camp learning have to make f-ed up letters I'm going decare a holy war on their ass. My PalmIII is now a remote control for my tv, that's about the only use for it. Especialy since you can set up macros to turn on the sub, DVD player, and amp all with one button. I actually prefer a Blackberry, then you can actually send and recieve your email wherever you are (yes ..I know you could do that on the Palm 7 if you are in one of their 6 square blocks of coverage). But seriously ..the only use for the thing is playing games when your bored. โ sounds like too much if you ask me. Unless you are going to actually carry it around and look at it every 5 min. to see if you are late for something. Who does that?

I find my Palm great, as I can't remember assignments and the like; every period I just write my homework down, then when I get home i can (theoretically  ) get it done. Basically I just use it as an organizer, and as an address book to keep people's numbers in and shit. If I want to play a game, I'll go home and fire up Max Payne, thanks.------------------
I swear to god the combined IQ of these forums (not including the ladies) must be less than the cost of a used 85 honda civic with severe rear damage...
