I'm doing a thing for college and i cant for the life i me remember what letter is used for a 370.Me and my mate say there are about 5 different kinds of socket processors but we are as bout as useful as a chocolate tea pot when it comes to slot processors. Does anyone know how many kinds there is? Posted by cr0bar on Oct. 03 2001,14:49
In recent history, there has been Socket 7 (Intel Pentium, AMD K6-2/K6-3, Cyrix 6x86/MII), Slot-1 (Intel Pentium II/III), Slot-A (AMD Athlon), Socket 370 a.k.a. S370 (Intel Celeron/Pentium III)That's off the top of my head, so I'm sure I missed a few things. Posted by damien_s_lucifer on Oct. 03 2001,14:49
Socket 370 is used for Intel Celeron and Pentium III CPU's.

There's the new P4 - Northwood. It's a .13 micron process, and it uses the 478 pin boards. There's the Tuatalin, which is basically a beefed up P3, using the .13 micron process too (I BELIEVE). Not sure what kind of board that goes in. This message has been edited by miNus on October 06, 2001 at 07:15 PM |
