I try to avoid movies on early dates b/c you just sit there and don't get a chance to get to know each other. How old are you? Do you like to cook? I've found that most girls are really impressed by a guy who can cook. It's made quite a few good first dates for me. After that...miniature golf is usually good. It's corny, but you get a chance to talk, get to know each other, and it's relaxing. Other ideas are (if you're both athletic) a bike ride, basketball, boating, etc. Museum or a fair might be good. Or a sporting event...minor league baseball/hockey games aren't very expensive. Hope this helps!! ------------------ quote: Never argue with and idiot...he may be doing the same thing Posted by CatKnight on Aug. 14 2001,03:58
lol!hal0: would you like to go with me to a minor league baseball game? the other ideas are good though. Posted by Nikita on Aug. 14 2001,14:21
Go play pool. Even better if she doesn't know how! Teach her - you pretty much get to spoon standing up ... ![]()

As for playing pool, I agree. I did that on a first date once. Went really well...except for the fact that she beat me. ------------------ quote: Never argue with and idiot...he may be doing the same thing Posted by Wolfguard on Aug. 14 2001,14:41
wowI try to save the beatings for the 3rd or 4th date...

she's someone you've known for a long time so it's gonna be hard to impress her.make her feel special. (very broad when it comes to love - everyone likes different things) ------------------ Posted by WillyPete on Aug. 14 2001,17:16
If you want a variation ot the movies, go to the matinee for a kids show and try to get yourselves thrown out by starting popcorn fights with the kids. Take along inflatable beach balls to hit around randomly and some of those plastic gun thingys that make bubbles when you pull the trigger. You can get it all at a dollar store.Act like kids. (Even more than usual) She'll have a whale of a time if she's a fun girl as it's just totally random. You'll come off as having a totally cool sense of humor. Get a video camera and write up some weird sex or food survey questions and go around a large mall asking people to answer the questions. Pretend like it's for a college marketing class or something. Interview the most unlikely people. Take turns behind the camera. At the end, interview her with those questions or some others of your own! Makes for great watching with popcorn later. If you're able to in your town, take her shooting. When I was in Utah for a while, myself and some buddies would ask girls if they wanted to go with us when we went shooting. They ALWAYS wanted to go. Chicks love guns. Even first timers. Take a rifle, you get to show them how to hold it and get an excuse for some first time close up contact. fnar fnar... Shoot melons or household appliances that people have thrown out. We took along 5 girls for four of us guys once when our fridge broke. They were fucking maniacs and all wanted to use the bigger guns. (Got it on video. More stuff for the evening again) Stuff that breaks with lots of pieces is Big fun. I think that you should just maybe invite her over to your house. That way you guys could talk and get to know eachother ![]() ------------------ Posted by LiNeY on Aug. 14 2001,23:04
Well you asked for girl advice... so here's mine.1. a cocktail bar. Cocktail bars definitely have style, and they're fun. I don't know a girl who doesn't like cocktails. Plus, if she isn't really well trained in drinking, a cocktail will make her just tipsy enough to... get more easy-going. 2. playing pool sounded good. I think I'd say yes if a guy I like asked me to go play pool with him. It gives a lot of occasions for touching, too. 3. a jazz club or something of the kind could be nice if you're both into that kind of style/music. It's usually not too loud so it gives you a chance to talk, and most jazz clubs are cosy and grant some feeling of privacy and being home. And if she likes it... take her to the theatre or the opera or something. They usually sell inexpensive student's tickets, and it is something way more stylish and special than going to the movies.
