Why do the gay fasion designers insist on cutting women's hair short!? It's actually starting to catch on! I mean, short hair isn't bad, but long hair looks WAY better!

why do people always have to bash gays? it's not cool. i mean, not that I'M gay or anything- sure I'm homophobic and all, but that's just because if people think you're gay than you get treated like crap. that ain't the gays fault tho.

I always felt that fashion designers never really know what the hell they're doing. They find these models that are so thin that their bones jut out at ugly ass angles and drape them with some of the worst clothes i've seen and everyone goes wild.

anyways, back OT, short hair can look as good as long hair, just depends on the girl i guess.

tho for some reason i usually find it really attractive when a chick i know who had long hair (like well past shoulders) gets it cut to shoulder length. that look always looks sexy until you get used to it

I've had long hair too. It was longer than yours, babe. I cut it because it didn't look that good on a guy... and because I'm balding and didn't want to do the Steven Segal/ Jimmy Buffet thing.

i've had hair a lot longer than this. for a few years, i had hair down to the middle of my back. but i got sick of it giving me headaches, and sick of taking 2 hours out of my day to use the hair-dryer. and sick of how if i let it air dry, it took more than 24 hours.

so i had it hacked off. now the longest it *ever* gets is nearly shoulder length, and i try to keep it shorter than that.

Kind of... I just kept getting longer and longer, and one days I said that for my graduation party I would shave my head! So I planned it for like 2 years, and then 2 weeks before graduation I shaved my head just to freak everybody out!

Recently it got past my shoulders and I cut it again (for my job) just above my ears.

Anyway the point is, I don't see why it's such a big deal. Just comb it in the shower and it doesn't take THAT long to dry. Besides you can always PAY someone to do your hair. And I would pay a little money to get a chick to grow her hair!

But mabey that's just me...

my girlfriend keeps wanting to cut her hair short, but i like it long. she thinks that just cuz its curly, its ugly, but i like it alot the way it is.

and when she has it long, she puts it up! argh! i want to look at it, not have it hidden in a bun!

there was this whacked out girl in my physics class who shaved off all her hair and i mean ALL of it. jesus did she look butt ugly after that. also on a side note she made me realise where the americanaccent comes from. its a mixture of english and scottish (cos she was half of each) its like a carbonish copy of it. makes sense really when you think about it. but i digress no hair makes gurls into dogs. have got a cute girl in my jitsu with short hair. damn fine ass too. mmmm well i tend to look at the as before the face. nowadays you can never tell if a girls a girl form just looking at her hair.

Now someone recently explained the following theory to me - it sounded strange when I first heard it but I guess there is some logic to it... everything in this world is about economy (unfortunately), and the hairdressers get a lot more money from girls with short hair: you have to go and get it cut more often, and most people use some gel or foam to fix it, so they get some money out of the sales of those products, too.
Somehow I guess it must be true, because EVERYTIME I get to the hairdresser's they try to make me cut me hair short and sell me a lot of those over-priced care products (but I don't fall for that trick!)...

Ya know, there is not a single guy I know who likes short hair better than long hair on a girl.

Don't get me wrong, the right haircut will make a girl look good, but IMHO long hair will make that good-lookin' girl even better.

I understand what kuru means about maintenance (my wife has long hair--it's thin, so it doesn't take that long to dry/comb out, but still...), but the simple fact is that if a chick grows her hair, she will be more attractive to most guys.

Hey now, short hair looks good on some gay chics. But im not really into the butch military short cut some of them have. Im more into the lipstick lesbians, not the butch dykes. If you are going to pick on them why not pick on guys who are going bald, shave their head and then grow big moustache and goatees. That seems like a more mainstream trend/stereotype.

my stylist charges me the same price whether i have long hair or short hair.

i get my hair cut at the same frequency whether my hair is long or short.

i don't use gel, hair spray, mousse or any of that other crap, whether my hair is long or short.

and it really does take THAT long for my hair to dry. current drying time, with hair about ear length, is 5 to 6 hours.

5 or 6 hours? wow thats a long time. When I had long hair, about an inch below my chin, it probably took about an hour to dry.

Of course it completely depends on the climate where you live...

I used to have long hair! At the time I was contimplating joining the Marines, but didn't want to shave my head. Then I got arrested. Then the judge told me if I wanted deffered adjudication, I'd have to cut my hair. So I did, which also made up my mind to join the USMC, which turned out to be the best thing I've ever done.

By the way, I prefer short hair over long hair, straight hair over curly hair, and brown hair over blonde and red hair. And I don't like fags....

That girl was fine when she was bald. I find that most girls with short hair have in your face attitudes and that's what I like, so I guess there's more to it than looks.

You'd be thinking I'd let my hair grow that long (no you wouldnt! what the hell.. ah I'll just keep going) to like my shoulders or something, but IMO I'd look gay w/ long hair. But I did grow it where it was almost like an afro! HA.

Btw, short hair will look good if the girl knows how to pose. But long hair is always more comforting.

That chick in the Miller Genuine Draft commercial is pretty hot, even though she has about 3/4 inch hair. You know, the one with the bumping music next door, and the dude bounces the bottle cap.

Don't know if the short hair helps it or hurts it, but it doesn't trump the hotness.

Long hair rules. Last year I just arbitrarily (sp?) decided I wasn't going to cut my hair for a few years, and I haven't since. I think dreadlocks are in order here, too, but I bet that's just because I'm a no-good stoner hippie.

women fashion designers are weird. every woman that's ever cut my hair either "fake" cut it ( like snip snipped and it didn't look any different than when i started, but it had a little mousse in it) or they totally screwed it up and thought they were being stylish and made 15 layers when my hair is perfectly straight and didn't need that shit. thankfully my hair grows so fucking fast that it doesn't matter, cuz i just keep jumping back and forth between short and long hair. i should go back to having my mother cut my hair.

Although the Shoulder length is very attractive as well

ya i never understood the long hair thing. ya my hair is currently to my waist and all but i could never understand why my dad and sometimes brother so strongly opposed my trips to a salon. hello, a 6in trim(haha sounds kinda funny) isn't gonna make THAT much of a difference when my hair halfway down my butt!

It goes back to before modern man...I can't remember off the top of my head, even though I should considering I'm an anthropology major and I'm too lazy to look it up. I will say one thing though, you won't see a short haird girl on Playboy, for the reason that guys tend to like long haired girls, much like the majority of the posts here.

I think that long hair on GUYS can be very sexxy, but only if it's keept tidy, and it all depends on the guy, being tall helps, sorta balances things out.

I wish I could grow my hair longer, when it's wet is past my shoulder blades, but when it's dry (btw takes only 1/2 - 1h) it springs up to shoulder length cause of all the curls. So yeah, even if it does grow, it doesn't show cause it's so curly. : (

My hair is currently shoulder length- If I grow it further than my shoulders it looks worse (I have extremely thin hair and it starts to look mousey when it isnt cut) my stylist (heh) said that short blunt cuts are the right way to do hair like mine because it gives it more body. Ive not had a guy complain yet that my hair was too short. I usually chop it just below my chin and above my shoulders this way it isnt too long and it isnt too short (I used to chop it up to my chin but then I couldnt really style it or put it in a pony tail) my hair is pin straight though and has no body to it at all. The benefit is that it dries in about 10 mins (no kidding) so I never walk out of my house with a wet head in the am.

Now I dont really have a preference for guys with any hair style (short long etc) but I do like short hair on blondes and guys with black hair and long hair on red heads (or brunettes-like light brown) (if its curly) some reason thats just how I am. Actually if you want to know-my fantasy guy would be 6'(or taller) broad (I hate skinny guys-chubby/stocky I dont care as long as they arent thinner than me) with blue eyes and short blonde hair who is left handed-*sigh* I love lefties! (wow this was probably information you didn't need or want to know)

personally, i like having shorter or short hair because it's less of a pain. i hate having long hair sticking to my face or the back of my neck when i'm all sweaty, and how long it takes my hair to dry. generally though, i let my hair grow till i get sick of it, then i cut it off really short. it'll stay short till i for whatever reason lose my senses and miss having hair, and then i grow it back. it's like a repeating cycle.

the best thing about the short hair though is when i can just wake up, rub my hand over my head, and my hair is done
