All these people starting up pointless topics, and then other people starting new threads about how the other threads are pointless, really annoy me, especially if they don't have the good sense to do it in the "rants" forum.

Yes, you're right, I'm being ironic.

uhm... arent you contridicting youreself? you say you hate it when people post rants in the Classroom forum, and yet you just did that same thing! you fucking hippie!

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot. The thing I hate most is that I didn't have a better idea.

'nuf said.

But seriously, the point I'm trying to make is that people should be a bit less eager to start all these new threads, at least until they're reasonably sure that someone else actually cares about that topic...

I dunno, that sounds to me a bit like:
"Never say ANYTHING unless you're sure everyone feels the same way you do" (Code of the schoolyard)

If you want to start a new topic on anything, be my guest; if i don't have anything to say, i won't reply! Besides, how could you check to see if anyone cares about the topic unless you post something ;]

I totally agree seeing more than a few new topics in one day can be a bit irksome. But i would never think of imposing formal rules on something like this

have a nice day

irony is not a verb; it is a state of existence, not to be confused with action, as a verb, therefore one cannot be "ironic" , although one can experience irony, or a situation could be ironic, but i really dont know much, so you dont necessarily have to believe me.

You dork! "to be" "is" "are" "was" "were" "am" "will be" "was being" "is being" "has been" "am being" are all VERBS of "being". Ironic is a state of BEING. Therefore you can BE ironic. "I am being ironic." The verb is "am being" and "ironic" describes" "I". Sorry to rant, but don't correct people without checking if they're already correct...
