If you have a high speed connection, try alt.binaries.multimedia (the latest episode is usually there within 24 hrs) and alt.binaries.southpark for reruns. Most of them are encoded for VCD with no commercials. My sister can't get southpark either, so I burn 3 to a vcd and send it to her.

On a side note, I wish the hand waving thing worked.

hey do you guys know what a 1200 or 2400 baud moden is? is it fast or really really slow?

56k=56000 baud modem

12k's and 24k's are slower, Non

I really don't know what @$$h0l3 was talking about (since I'm not an IRC k1dd13), but I'm assumming he was referring to something on IRC. I really don't know though. It's obviously not a normal website (unless he left out a rather important part of the name) 'cause .multimedia sure is hell not a certified TLD.

You use outlook or something to view it

Dude, he said 1200 and 2400.. Like as in 1200, not 12,000. So, 1200's and 2400's are slower Non. In fact, haha, back in the day, it took me an hour to download like 5 good pr0n pics on a 2400 baud modem.. That's like '93 though... So, yeah, its old

my first modem was a 2400. That ass toook about an hour per megabyte..

i used to have a 1200 bps modem...on a KAYPRO! If you don't know what a kaypro is, ask your grandfather. heh.

I'd just like to say that while I don't really take political sides because I'm pissed at Republicans AND Decrats... as far as I know (although I haven't done a TON of studing) I'm closer to R than D. Anyway, I don't know why you hate eachother so much. As far as I can tell the two parties have joined in the spirit of fasism. Both parties are lead by morons, but have an underlying brilliance in that they can manipulate 95\% of the population. That's all...

people, people, lets remember that bps, and baud are not the same thing. baud is a word, and bps stands for bits per second. i dont recall exactly how much a baud is, but i do remember quite clearly that they arent equivelent.

My first 'online' experience was on BBSs on my friends 1200 modem, we used to look in awe at the BBSs that had 'ANSI Color Graphics' lol ... and then I got a 2400 and blew his away

Tho my modem was in a 286 and I would use MessyDos to copy files I downloaded over to my Amiga to mess around with, because Amigas were the light and Ps were evil back then ...
