has anyone actually seen the movie clerks? cause no one where i'm form has, and they're like, "where's this Jay and Silent Bob" shit coming from? i honestly thought clerks was kick ass.. but i haven't seen Jay and Silent Bob yet.. havne't seen many films since i quit my theatre managing jobs...

Clerks was absolutely awesome. I know there is a few people in this forum has seen it, as we were quoting it in some other thread.

I still reckon IMHO that Mallrats was the funniest. Not so much for parts of humour, but a constant humour.

"She's FUCKING DEAD?"

I haven't seen chasing amy or mallrats, but clerks rocked.. and jay and silent bob strike back was pretty funny as well..

Would you like some making fuck!
Berserker!

ive seen clerks ... it rocks.
same goes for Dogma ... mmm Alanis.

Not seen the actual "Jay and Silent Bob" tho. I think they'd be better suited to cameos ... isn't Silent Bob the director or something?

Posted by EvilGenius on Sep. 09 2001,15:35
mallrats... cool. i'm just waiting for all the goonies sh*t to come back.
Posted by whiskey@throttle on Sep. 09 2001,16:23
I think Mallrats is the best ViewAskew flick, followed by Chasing Amy.

I don't like Clerks, I don't like Dogma, and J&SB was mediocre (some great parts, some really shitty parts).

And have you read Kevin Smith's < shitcanned Superman script >? Quite possibly the worst shit I've ever seen. Supposedly Tim Burton gagged when he saw it and fired Kevin Smith.

The cast/crew sounded cool though:

Directed by Tim Burton
Superman/Clark Kent - Nicolas Cage
Lois Lane - Linda Fiorentino
Lex Luthor - Jack Nicholson
Brainiac - Patrick Stewart
Eradicator - Sam Neill

Oh well. We'll see what happens...

I will take this moment to say that Jack Nicholson is the man.

That is all.

Enjoy at once.

I AM THE CLIT MASTER!!!! I AM THE CLIT MASTER!!!

J&SBSB was the most hilarious film I've seen in a long, long time. But you might want to see Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Dogma, and Clerks first, otherwise it won't make much sense and won't be nearly as funny.

Oh yes... and if they ever release Good Will Hunting 2 : Hunting Season I am so there...

Nick Cage, proof that people who aren't the most attractive can have lead roles in film! i feel so inspired.. *begins academy award speech writing*

J&SBSB is by far, the funniest movie. I loved Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy and Dogma (Chasing Amy is my second fav). J&SBSB is worth to see even if you only watch it for the Mark Hamil cameo... pure genius. I also don't suggest seeing it unless you've seen Kevin Smith's other stuff, I don't think it would be nearly as funny. Oh, and by the way I'M NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE HERE TODAY!!

Bluntman & Chronic is the worst comic I ever read. Jay and Silent Bob are stupid characters. A couple of stoners who spout dumb-ass catch-phrases like a third rate 'Cheech and Chong' or 'Bill and Ted'. Fuck Jay and Silent Bob. Fuck them up their stupid asses.
