ok here goes:my computer studies teacher is one of lamest people out there. He gave us this assessment for Q-basic, which goes towards our year 10 certificate. Problem? Well the problem is, he hasn't taught us Q-basic. His idea of teaching us Q-basic is writing commands on the board like CLS etc.... without hardly explaining how they are used, or including examples, etc. Most of the class just ended up copying code off the net to complete their assessment. ok now here's the bit i got pissed about. 10 minutes into the lesson.. jeez well it wasn't even a lesson, he hadn't started anything. eventually he speaks up, and says to everyone, "whoever wants to learn, come to the front." now i was sitting on the 3rd row, on the side, with a few mates. I asked him, "why do we have to move to the front to learn? we shouldn't have to move anywhere to learn" he didnt answer i asked him again, in a kind of sarcastic tone. still no answer. he started talking to 3 or 5 kids sitting at his desk, and for christ sake, i shouldn't have to go to his desk to learn. i eventually gave up, and pulled out a plastic spoon i still had with me from lunch. i started sharpening the handle bit against the brickwork. no noise or anything annoying, i was just plain bored. i'd actually made it nice and sharp 10 mins before the lesson he asked me to stop. i was pretty annoyed with him, and i told him "no, im not hurting anyone, or disturbing the class." bell rang, we left.
Then today.. what the fuck does he do? give me a god damn detention for "poor behaviour, which included damage to a wall." THATS TOTAL FVCKING CRAP! HOW THE HELL CAN YOU DAMAGE A WALL WITH A PLASTIC SPOON?!?!? It's also very obvious how computer illiterate he is, especially after i got his user/pass off him for the whole fucking network. School computers currently run win2000 pro. now from what i know, (through my art teacher letting me access her account, to use photoshop, lol), the school intranet webpage can be accessed, student records, and a variety of software. Feed me with your ideas. Knowledge is POWER!

if you figure out how to cover your tracks, you should change his password to something like "iliketorapelittleboysandtiethemupinmybasement" so when the sys admin has to retrieve it for him, theyll wonder if he really ought to be working there...

Depends on how far you're willing to go. Have some pr0n mags delivered to the fucker at school.Ha. Posted by DuSTman on Oct. 30 2000,12:06
Hide a sheep in his cupboard. That would raise a *few* questions. Seriously, though, the think that could probably get him fired most easily is just how totally useless he is. File a report on how much he sucks your ass, they'll have to examine the claim, and if he is really useless they will probably decree him so. Reminds me one time our school had nothing but archimedeses, our IT teacher retired, so who did they hire? Someone who only really knew PCs. What a master stroke. I ended up teaching him in their use and solving more of the other students problems. Such fun. Posted by askheaves on Oct. 30 2000,15:50
My bad high school teacher experience. In high school, I took a class called Aviation, because it obviously sounded cool. So, We're sitting in the class, and it starts dawning on us after about a week that this guy was a total tool. He had about a week's worth of material total, and after that was totally lost. The class degraded into a free hour for almost all of us. The room had a back door to the outside world, and there was a brick wall on pavement. So, each day, we'd walk into class, put our bags down, and walk out side to play 'Butt's Up', a sport similiar to handball. This lasted for most of the trimester, with some days being rained out. On one rainout day, I accidentally started a chair on fire by lighting some silly putty. Somehow, my friend and I managed to talk our way out of going to the principal's office (and being suspended or possibly expelled) by telling him we had poured some acid from chemistry on some silly putty, and it just began smoking. The trimester ended and enough people had said something, that he was no longer teaching the next quarter and we all had B+'s waiting. Yay ------------------ Posted by Mike on Oct. 30 2000,16:06
ok, I have been in a situation close to this before. what I did though was make overelaborate and overgraphical programs so that you know that he can't possibly understand the code, and then ask him questions about it. Its really funny when they can't answer =) As for his username/password I wouldn't do anything major, but thats just me. If you are on a WAN, then you could use it to print random documents to other campus printers. or just reconfigure his default printer to be in some really inconvenient location. heh heh heh. I dunno, then maybe print some 1337 pr0n if you want to get him fired. You may have to actually do this from his comp, or at least its address so that he will have nobody to blame. ------------------ Posted by kuru on Oct. 30 2000,16:10
go over his head. talk to one of his superiors. the principal or someone like that. make sure they know that he's not doing his job.just don't give the guy any ammunition to say that you're being a problem in his class. ------------------ Posted by reman on Oct. 31 2000,00:57
hahah you could always write to marilyn parker's dux and dunce in the daily telegraph. But seriously though, I would suggest having a talk to your year adviser, if you can get a group together (say 2 or three of you) it will make your case even stronger. Make sure you point out first that you weren't sure what to do, how to approach the situation (which is true since you asked) then explain how you think this teacher is not taking your education seriously. Also think about other stuff, does your school have a proper comp studies teacher or is this guy it? (from the sound of it, win2kpro machines, your school don't have funding problems). Also tell your year adviser that you would also like to talk to the deputy proncipal about it as well as this is a serious thing and should be a little formal. Make sure you don't tell anyone that you have their lusername and password, and never use them. this is just bad for you and wont help your case. If this process doesnt rectify the situation tell your perants and try to make them understand that this is the level of education that _they_ are paying for and how all you want to do is learn yadda yadda...and ask them to go to the school and complain to the principal, this is going to produce a result if anything. make sure you ask not to be named to the teacher. umm cant think of anything else. btw which school you go to? regards, reman ------------------ Posted by Neophyre on Oct. 31 2000,09:19
ok i've read all your ideas/thoughts and i quite like them all i have to do is learn how to use the admin tools.. which i can't really do unless i log in to his account. reman, hehe well i can't really tell you that can i? hehe for all i know u could be some guy from the dept of education out to bust me :P but i can tell you which skool i used to go to... freeman highschool in bonnyrigg... i had perhaps one of the best computer teachers i knew of. He actually knew what he was talking about, and was able to get across explanations on the subject, whether it be visual demonstations, or whatever. anyways, i did happen to see the computers co-ordinator today, because i hadn't written out the whole paragraph that was on the overhead on what <html>, <head>, <body>, etc is, and i had only written out a *much simpler* summary, which explained the whole god damn thing in less that 2 sentences. we were then supposed to go and type up a html document after we had done that. i did the document, then the teacher came and told me off that i hadn't finished writting what was on the overhead. my arguement was, i understand html, i know how it works, so i wrote what i know to be a much simpler way of explaining it, and i had demonstrated my knowledge of this by completing the document. that wasn't good enough, so he sent me to the computers co-ordinator, and i told him what happened, and he doesn't seem to care, he just basically told me to copy it down, regardless of whether i know it or not. grrrrr... anyways, its 11:15pm, i just got home from work, and i got school tommorrow, so i'll finish this off tommorrow afternoon hopefully if this gets anymore interest. cya's ------------------ Posted by Rhydant on Oct. 31 2000,13:22
i do this on a regular basis. i dont use anyone's passwords, but i just sort of hack into the network and fool around. turning things off, turning things on. i get into other student's files and steal their work, put my name on it, and turn it in. thats why im passing this class (im in skool right now). im gonna try that random printer thing. sounds fun! ------------------ Posted by whiskey@throttle on Oct. 31 2000,16:01
...one word: deltree

Yah! Put that "deltree code" in a batch file... put it on the desktop, and name it, "To All Teachers - Please Double Click This To Update Your System.bat"This brings back soooooo many memories, but they're STILL looking for the guy who did STUFF at my school, so I'm not going to say anything. ------------------ Posted by reman on Nov. 02 2000,02:28
well if you are gonna fux0r that dickwad teacher up, read up to make sure that no one can trace it to you...then hax0r away!!regards, reman ------------------ Posted by Neophyre on Nov. 02 2000,02:44
yeh that's what im trying to do.I'm gonna need some texts on win2k pro, and how to use the admin, cover my tracks, etc. ------------------ Posted by Willy Pete on Nov. 15 2000,14:32
First, if they have any clue regarding security, the machines themselves are set up to only have installations and new users set by admin login. You want that one. All the others are users. To do this do a search for the .sam file. Copy it to a floppy. Download Lophtcrack demo , read the documentation, make sure you understand it. Use it on the sam file on the floppy to crack each and every user that's logged onto that pc. If you can get the one for the server, even better. With the resources available for the school, you shouldn't ever get caught using an approved login as long as you use authorised machines during authorised hours. If they do check logs, you will appear as an approved user anyway and they will take the rap. Just don't get caught at the terminal altering you grades or you can expect the 'dumbass' award for the year. My friend, what you have learnt is that there are other ways to hack besides with code. You did a 'social' hack. Posted by MattimeoZ80 on Nov. 16 2000,02:10
just one thing, who uses Qbasic anymore?!? i learned that when i was liek 7 and screwing around in dos 6. sure its a cool language and all, but they should be teaching c++ or at least something useful liek perl or html.------------------ Posted by reman on Nov. 16 2000,02:18
dude he said QDOS not Qbasic...

very good shit we have going here.tomorrow arvo, i'll log in and do what Willypete said bout the .sam files. Very smart shit. only prob is, what if it's kept in a protected directory? willypete, you were right about the bit bout Admin's only being able to create users. Win2k immediately stopped me from opening the user settings in control panel. But, when i was on my art teacher's account, on a win95 box, it let me in, and showed me all the other user's. must be win95 i spose. unfortunately, a few friends of mine "aquired" the password, coz i foolishly wrote it into my book. The changed his background to a pretty funny looking picture of a stick person sucking dick, with the teachers name on it the teacher got rid of it, but for some reason unknown, did not change his password? either he didn't know how to do it himself, or was too embarrassed to tell the admin what had happened. Oh, any if any of you are curious about the prog i used, i'll post a screenshot of it shortly Posted by Neophyre on Nov. 16 2000,04:14
here's the screen shot. Custom made prog
You can change the school/domain and level of the user, (eg teacher/admin) to whatever you want. i know it looks a bit dodgy, but its coz of my theme colors (whatever u call it ) i simply ran the prog, called my target over (the teacher) told him that my comp was locked. He told me to enter my password. Already a few steps infront of him , as i got the prog to reject my password, and to reject any username that begins with 7 (all student accounts at my school start with 7) and also reject passwords with less than 5 characters once he entered his pass, the prog unlocked, and wrote the pass to a .ini file. i'm not game enough to try it with my admin just yet This message has been edited by Neophyre on November 15, 2000 at 11:22 PM Posted by Willy Pete on Nov. 16 2000,12:48
.sam is not in a hiden or secure area. You usually need to be a user to view/find it..pwl is the one you need to get from Win95/8/ME. (Real easy to decrypt!) Once you do you will have the Administrator password for ONLY that pc. It does not guarantee the server or other parts of the system usernames/passwords. Only if the SysAdmin is dumb enough to use 'administrator' on the server with the same password he uses to build the pc's, will you be able to gain access to that. Legal Warning: Most of this shit is enough to get you suspended/expelled/sued. DO NOT tell anyone in your school what you have done. Not for bragging rights, not even to get laid. Remember, your favorite superhero has it right by keeping his identity hidden. If you're doing this for public attention kicks, why not try vandalism or something just as useful to society. You're original request was for help with a lesson problem. Either use this to get a new teacher or in a position to be trained by someone else. Posted by Willy Pete on Nov. 16 2000,13:30
Sorry, my bad, it's not the .sam, it's the SAM. file. See the help files in Lophtcrack for the info on what it is, does and how to get it.there is a way that the admin can monitor any unauthorised access to it. < http://www.windows2000faq.com/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=14769 > This is a good lesson for you on how vulnerable a system can be and how to lock your own down. Learn from this and if you go into IT (as I assume you will) you will know the importance of security. Posted by peregrin on Nov. 16 2000,18:43
quote: this is a problem the sam file in these windows programs cannot be accessed or coppied unless it is not in use. the only way to make it not in use is to exit windows, preferably to dos. this tends to spawn yet another problem; the fact that win2k does not use dos as its base, so even if you were able to make and use a boot disk, everything would be in an unrecognizable format. also lophtcrack is used for winnt. i gotta go now, i will followup later. ------------------ Posted by PersonGuy on Nov. 16 2000,23:55
How come I never thought a a progi like that! ARG! I'm always doing things the hard way! ------------------ Posted by Neophyre on Nov. 17 2000,02:37
yeh hehe i thought something was wrong with the .sam files... i searched for it and it brought up around 20 different .sam files.damn teacher doesn't have permission to delete the log files. :\ But i've gone through his log file, and noticed he visits E-bay - alot.. hmmmm Posted by Neophyre on Nov. 17 2000,02:43
i'll try some more stuff on Monday.i can get into a win95 box easily, so getting into dos shouldn't be a problem. the thing is, teacher and admins computers are seperate from the student computers.
