The other day i was playing around with my stereo and listenin' to Rage Against the Machine, when i decided to see how loud i could pump up the volume.

How I wish i never done that...

They are GenEXXA Linaeum Speakers.
the back says:

GenEXXA
Pro LX 5 Cat. No. 40-4061
Input 8 Ohms Power Handling 50W (RMS)
Maximum Power 100W

Now my speakers sorta look like this:

code:

_____________
/  \ <- now this bit is
|_____________| the bit that is
| | | | Stuffed. Sub-
| | | | woofer? its
| | | | sorta got 2
| | | | upward pipe
| |_________| | lookin things
|_____________|

Can this easily be fixed? Resistors need replacing? or what?

or you could use the CODE ubb tag. It should display what you type in a monospaced font, assuming you use IE to view the board.

I'm sure nobody needs to tell you this now, but you should never put your receiver all the way up. The reasoning is so you don't blow out your speakers. But I guess you kind of realized that. If I blew out my speakers I would try contacting the company. See what they have to say.

Those tubes on the top are the Linaeum tweeters that produce 360-degree sound. Anyway, I'm not sure you actually said what the problem is, besides using the phrase support people hate, "It doesn't work." Have you actually opened the speaker cases?

sorry, didnt mean i fixed my speakers, i mean i fixed the diagram.

I feel like a real l4m0r right now after reading through my post. I have to be more descriptive

And yes, Observer, that's exactly my problem! Thanks for wording it out for me. The Tweeters are the problem coz i've lost that "360 degree sound feelin'"

I'll find a phillips head screwdriver somewhere and open these babies up
