I just recently moved. How many of you guys done it before? I've moved 5 times before so it's not really new but still not fun and the worst part is that my parents told me a week before we moved that we were going to.

5 times? you are week f00l. ive moved madd times. actually i think just once more then you. but still. ive lived in PA two differance places, wisconsin, west virginia, new york state, and now where i currently live in connecticut. which i hate. ct sucks hard and i cant wait to get the fuck out of here to college. and yes, moving does suck. a lot. ive done all the moving and shit and im 16 years old. fuck i swear ive got to be scared for life from it all. seriously, no kid should have to ever move more then once in his childhood, even one move and the kid has a damn good reason to blame his parents for the rest of his life. but 5 or more and they are just asking to be hated.

3 times throughout the school span of my life so far (10 years)...I don't think it sucks too much, though it does have it's disadvantages. you get a clean start, new people, new places to go and things to see, it's great. but on the other hand, you leave people behind, and for awhile you just want to stay inside. you also get a cool house to explore. don't be a pessimist and the move will work out fine in the end. sympathies though dude, it's always tough.good luck Posted by jgabby on Aug. 27 2000,02:30
I've moved once . . . right in the middle of my sophomore year of HS, and halfway across the country. It really sucked then. I had lived in the same town, the same house for 15 years. Then, all of a sudden everyone I knew was over 1200 miles away. I was in a completely different climate, with a completely different culture, and it made me bitter. In retrospect it was a turning point to the right direction for my life, but it really sucked at the time.

Just moved into college, now I have a PC instead of a mac. Moving kicks ass, except when you're little.

i am the king of movingfor me its almost like christmas, opening the boxes and finding your stuff again. its weird. lets see.... ive lived in... 10 different houses/apartments. its not that bad. but now we live in a house that my mom is renting from my grandmother, so it looks like this time its permanent. until i go to college. and its in the same fucking city too! ------------------ Posted by jrh1406 on Aug. 28 2000,10:52
Heh Rol3x, i feel for you, i used to live in CT, i sure was happy to get the hell out of there. As far as moving, i've done my fair share, the only thing that really sucked for me was when i graduated from High school everyone was reminiscing about how they had been friends since like kindergarten and dug up all their old pictures for the class dinner and whatnot. I had friends that i had known since all of sophmore year. Posted by kuru on Aug. 31 2000,11:27
since 1995 i have moved 9 times. i finally got a place to live that i've been for more than a year.... and i'll probably be moving out of here by next spring.moving sucks. the only way to make it easier is to have less stuff. i think i'm going to sell everything, and start over. then again, i also want to live somewhere for more than 2 years. being nomadic is horrid. being nomadic and dealing with roommates, is worse. if college teaches you anything at all, it's that it sucks to move. i think this is their secret intention, having been given big payoffs from large corporations to create a breed of future employees who are so sick of moving that they will stay where they are, even if a better offer comes along. or i'm paranoid. Only a weeks notice????
I've moved twice. Once when i was 8 and once about 6 months ago. In each case we had a couple of months warning. ------------------ Remember, its all your fault. Posted by Rol3x on Sep. 02 2000,21:40

I lived in the same house for 18 years, my only "move" being that I got my own bedroom when I was 5. Then I started college. I moved all of my shit from Baton Rouge to my dorm in Pittsburgh. End of freshman year, moved almost all of it back to Baton Rouge. Back to Pittsburgh for sophomore year, again in the dorm. End of that year, moved it all into a sublet apartment. Then, about a month ago, moved into my real apartment. I'll be here at least a year, though probably longer (my roomies and I are joking that we'll probably each live here until we get married, so we may be here awhile )
