< http://www.tweakhardware.com/guide/quadro/ > Take a look at that link. It converts a GeForce to a Quadro by moving 2 resistors! I run a Geforce2MX so the difference would be amazing. Has anyone else got experience of this mod? Should I get the soldering iron out? Mike ------------------ Posted by cr0bar on Nov. 28 2000,03:08
The difference would be less than amazing. Game performance would not increase, the features in the Quadro are for high end 3D modelling applications.------------------ Posted by incubus on Nov. 28 2000,08:28
quote: According to the article, the difference wouldnt be very much in gaming applications except in the case of the gf2mx, because of the difference in core speeds and some other stuff. Read it first! ------------------ Posted by DuSTman on Nov. 28 2000,10:21
Yeah, games tend to eat more fill rate, high end jobs more use of polygonan detail, a professional card is not necessarily any better for gaming use than a geforce... Posted by cr0bar on Nov. 28 2000,14:47
