I don't think the judge will be too hard on your for a sideview mirror, maybe make you pay for it. But i know that in the state of Arizona it is a maximum of getting 8 points off your liscense (IE get your liscense taken away till whatever the judge sets it at) for leaving the scene of an accident that you were involved in.it might be different for each state

I got one of these. Thank god i was no where near the area that day and had proof. At the time of the hit and run i was passing through a toll booth 75 miles away.so said my toll recipt. It was up to them to prove that i was not really there.

I do believe they can legally crucify you for that. Thats some bad shit. Hes gonna be all over you for that one. In one of my many traffic court appearences (they tell you to be there at 9:00am but they never fucking get to you befor 2:00 pm) a dude got 60 days jail time and a suspended license for a year for leaving the scene of an accident where he bumped another car and cracked its tail light.Just show the judge this and all will be fine.

I was rear ended by a drunk lady, who after she hit me fled the scene. But there were like 3 police cars at the intersection. For L33t, I was at the intersection of Liberia Ave. and PW Parkway. She got upto 躔 fine for the hit-n-run and some jail time for the hit-n-run, of course she got a fine, jail time and lost her license for a year because of the DUI. St00pid bitch caused worth of damage to my car. It's a Volvo though so it's a freakin' tank.

ive been summoned to court for leaving the scene of an accident. i smashed some guys mirror on the way to school and i didnt stop to leave my info. yeah it was stupid, and i dont want to hear it. the question i have is has anyone been to court for something like this? what do you think the punishment would be?

they found out it was me because the good samaritan behind me decided to phone the police. im already paying for his mirror. i could deal with a license suspension but jail sux....

also, im not sure how the law works, but maybe you can see if you can get the guy to testify FOR you and have the state not press charges. Do you understand what i mean or should I explain some more?

my mirror was undamaged. i told the cop that i had no idea i had damaged his car. there is no way he would testify for me, right now hes trying to extort me. body shop didnt give a written estimate my ass!! anyway its only an informal hearing, but i dont know exactly what that means...
