It's got support for up to 12 players, and it's running on a watercooled celeron, how much nerd factor does it get for that? It'll be a good place to meet and greet the all other det-netters you've heard so much about!

has anyone had any lag on the server? I had 10 people playing last night, and i guess it was fine until i started accessing the server, then the lag went crazy. cuz i was using the computer locally. kinda sucks 
does it lag when im not around though?

i gots me a 700 athlon, with a tnt2 ultra in it.... (192 meg RAM)....
any one got a clue why im getting 25 fps ?

now, to more important issues.... i have directx 7.0a installed, and i went to the openGL site and it said openGL is packaged w/ 98 etc.. (which i knew, but i wanted something more up to date). so, does anyone have a openGL install i can get a copy of, or at least a god suggestion as to why im only getting 20-25fps in UNREAL?
(athlon 700, TNT2 ultra, 192megRAM, ultraDMA66)..

the thing is. ive tried EVERYTHING!.... new drivers old ones... 640x480x16 - 1028x760x32 and i ALWAYS get like 20 fps... its not like i have a setting wrong or something.. its just a being a bitch. when i was running WinME it work great (w/ old drivers 75fps) so i thought.. "oh.. new drivers were bad" .. nope.. went right back to 20fps in win98 w/ old drivers..
im thinking the previous owner of the card over clocked the hell out of it... and for some reason it just decided to show problems when we switch the comps. it was in.. (static and what-not)
but if ANYONE has any other good idea.. i would LOVE to hear it.

Someone create a mock-up for a site (draw it in Paintbrush or something) and i can prolly make it.

no frames (FRAMES BAD!)
nothing toooo complicated like cr0's setup. i aint that good.

pipe frame plug in? what are you talking about? i had to do a special little Inner Belevel thing to get that right. it took me 3 tries!
real graphics? ok, i admit, its not great but thats damned good for me. pft, real graphics.

No offense, I was merely implying that it needed a bit of work. That edge effect I assumed that you used one of the pipe-frame actions available from various Photoshop resource sites. If you did it yourself, it's quite impressive. I am working on a graphical interface that doesn't change a whole lot from what you did, but has a bit of a cleaner image. I wasn't trying to dis your PS skills, they are as good or better as mine were a year ago. But the motion blur metal effect only works if you do a lighting effect as well, else it looks a little cheap and static. My opinion of course, but I'll post my own work and you can tear it apart. Geez, I didn't mean to start a war or anything.

That's sorta along the lines of what I was thinking, mebbe change the border a little or something. That's the result of about 2 hours of work over 3 days this week, sorry it took so long to get it done. BTW, none of the links lead anywheres so don't bother clicking them. If you get a 403 forbidden, just refresh the page. I'm running it off of my own computer, when I get my site up I'll post it there. Any suggestions or criticism, both contstructive or destructive feel free to email me. That includes you, Rhydant, I know I really ripped appart your design in my previous post, sorry about that.

No, I did not steal the source code. I got it from < www.brainjar.com > and made my own modifications to it. I am also going to do a little more modifying of it so it doesn't resemble the original as much. Anyways.

BTW, does anyone know how to open a .exe file in notepad or Word? im trying to run an IRC client from school, but the only way i can acess my files is to get to it through a program.
In notepad, go to open, and find the directory the exe file is in, then tell it files of type *.* (or select all files)
find your exe in the window, right click on it, and on the menu that pops up, click on open. This should run the exe as opposed to just opening it up in notepad.
I tried it, and it worked for me.

Can anyone help me?? I had UT with a cracked EXE, but I misplaced my disk. I backed it up when I reinstalled windows recently but I didn't save the registry settings, and now it doesn't run properly - anyone have the reg settings? (I'm going to go buy it again soon, so it's not important)
Umm a little updat on the Server..
It's been down for the most part the last few days, I just upgraded to a Duron 650 and KT7 RAID w/ 2 IBM 30 giggers.
It's up and running now though on WinME. have fun! I'll see you guys there
