Terri, also knows as ch1ckie, from a small town in Canada, started her meteoric rise to stardom in the famed arena of online det-netting. This popular multi-person arena, once the domain of testosterone-charged young males, was taken and turned on its head.

“I remember my first post to the forums, it was in the “I’ll show you mine” thread, I think I posted the prom picture,” ch1ckie told us in an exclusive interview. “At the time there were a lot of spunky guys posting here, so I thought what the hell, I may as well stay. Now I’m hooked!”

To draw a parallel here with Stevie ‘KillCreek’ Case we must first tell the KillCreek story. KillCreek started out playing Quake as a quick relief, but online deathmatching soon consumed much of her time. She was so good that when the predominantly male online deathmatch community found out she was female most didn’t believe her. It was not until she hit the spotlight winning major fragfests that KillCreek became a household name among quakers. The pinnacle of her rise was challenging and beating one of the creators of Quake, John Romero, in a deathmatch playoff. KillCreek is now employed at Ion Storm figuring out how to use frogs in new and exciting ways.

Following along in another famous female’s footsteps in a male-dominated environment, ch1ckie has raised in status to rival detnet creator cr0bar himself. She has since made her own place on detnet where she continues to answer letters and give useful and insightful advice.

When we approached cr0bar for comment he only had this to say. “Well I had to give her some space on the site, after that bitch blackmailed me with posting the URL to the nudie pics I did for UGO when I was young and impressionable. They said I had a great ass…how was I to know…”

Lately though there has been rumours circling that not all of ch1ckie may be natural. Specifically there has been rumours that she has had her CPU OC’d. In non-l337 speak this basically means the things you see are not naturally hers but have been augmented through a process called over-clocking. People talking about this have also mentioned another company involved, namely Kryotech the best overclockers in the market.

Unknown to most det-netter’s though, is ch1ckie’s latest photo shoot. We talked to the photographer, Kyle of HardOCP. “She was a little nervous but once we got the case off and she cooled down a little we got some great shots. We used natural lighting and red velvet to really bring out that great beige colour”

“I think it was really tasteful,” ch1ckie said, “I think Kyle did a great job, I never thought an overclocked 1Ghz Athlon could look so sexy.” These new revealing pictures will be available on the HardOCP site (for a small membership fee) and in next month’s PC Accelerator. Talking to some of the detnet regulars some expressed surprise. Anztac said, “Wow! Now I can actually see the pictures instead of just trying to imagine it.”

Of course there is always a darkside, late yesterday PersonGuy announced in the forums that he had hacked the protection on the HardOCP site and had the pictures which he would give away to the first person who could guess his name. All Happyfish could say was, “Fuck that’s so gay, and I still haven’t got my fifteen bucks from guessing it last time Kenneth Earl Barnette.”

What will happen in the end? Will ch1ckie get into bed with cr0bar? Will she end up designing websites that do Blade bastardisations in new and exciting ways? Who knows? Only ch1ckie knows.
