Reminds me of that subway commercial in Canada... "subway, sub, sub, sub, sub, subway!"At least he admits to his likings. Posted by jiggyfresh on Jun. 29 2001,01:09
haha, that was mei dont think i ever got emailed my password though Posted by gambit on Jun. 29 2001,02:15
I work at Subway, and all these customers come in asking me all these questions about that dude:What'd he eat? How much did he lose? Where did he grow up? It aggervates me. The act like I'm hhis best friend just beacuse i work there...as if there aren't like 87457 Subways in the U.S. ------------------ This message has been edited by gambit on June 29, 2001 at 09:16 PM Posted by jiggyfresh on Jun. 29 2001,02:21
this girl i know that worked at subway had some customer throw a peice of bread and hit her in the head cause he was upset

Sometimes I'll spend an hour just making sandwiches, and it takes me a week or 2 to eat them all! Subway is my dream job! ------------------ Posted by TheTaxMan on Jun. 29 2001,04:42
The great thing about losing weight is it's proportional. If you eat a whole chicken and four other courses every day, and then suddenly switch to eating subway sandwiches and walking a couple miles, you're going to lose weight. However, if I did that same thing, I wouldn't lose anything. Still, whatever works for you...

the thing that ISNT amazing about jared fogle is that what he did is not spectacular. if your 450 pounds, and its mostly fat (i.e. your not in the strongest man competition) and you just switched from eating stuff that was keeping you fat to eating relativly healthy stuff like subway, and then just kept doing what you did every day, not even extra walking, and youd lose weight. the people that have the hardest time losing weight are the people who are mostly muscle in the first place. because if they stop excercising completely, theyll just be fat, and around the same weight, if they exercise more, theyre likely to just get stronger, have more muscle mass, and be heavier. jared fogle is not amazing. the only thing he really did is change his diet. if i changed my diet, i probably wouldnt lose that much weight, id need to start doing some excercise. but im lazy, so its too bad. the next time you see that dumb subway commercial, remember jared fogle is not amazing.------------------ quote: Posted by jiggyfresh on Jun. 30 2001,01:42
WHAT, BITCH!Jared Fogle is a fucking golden GOD, bOw D0wN to this mofo, he OwNz U aLL!!!! p.s. eat subway ------------------ quote: Posted by aletros on Jun. 30 2001,17:49

i prefer blimpies. just the smell of fresh french fry oil when you walk in is overwhelmingly delicious. however subway is still good enough to compete. also it's closer then blimpies which is 8 miles away and subway which is 2.my regular: mmm maybe i'll go there for lunch Posted by Sithiee on Jul. 01 2001,20:43
i personally prefer subway to blimpies. while blimpies does have the awesome fries bonus, i like the sandwiches at subway better (subway club, roasted chicken breast(i really like that one, cause i get to say BREAST without technically being dirty )). now, if they could get subway to sell the great boardwalk fries, we would have an uber sandwich shop on our hands.------------------ quote: Posted by melk0r on Jul. 02 2001,02:18
quote: heh. i also work at a subway, and its actually a niceeee goddam job. air conditioning, free food, kick ass coworkers/manager. i dont know if there is an italian BLT, but there is an italian BMT. i just started working there like this month though, so i could be way wrong. "Nothing like a nice MLT, where the mutton is nice and lean..."...but I digress Enjoy This message has been edited by TheTaxMan on July 02, 2001 at 09:55 PM Posted by askheaves on Jul. 02 2001,22:18
I got an odd email in the last couple days:Date: Fri, 29 Jun 2001 16:10:32 -0700 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just relaying a message and trying to figure out if this is true. I can imagine why it would be, but... hmm... Posted by Observer on Jul. 02 2001,23:02
I would say it could have something to do with the latest thread that cr0 closed explaining all about what happened with syf0n. Looks like he was trying to relay a message around through some people. I say just email cr0 about it. He's usually pretty quick about responding to serious inquiries.------------------ Posted by Rhydant on Jul. 02 2001,23:19
fuck subway. its all about Submarina, baby.subway has their meat in pre-sliced plastic bags. submarina slices the turkey (or whatever) right in front of you. and its taste better too. hell, they even cut theyre bread DOWN THE FUCKING MIDDLE! what the hell is it with the weird way that subway does it? ------------------ Posted by cr0bar on Jul. 02 2001,23:28
That's right, I don't pay much attention to complaints that aren't e-mailed to me. My e-mail address is all over the site, and not hard to guess. . .so when I have friends asking me if they can give out my IM name because so-and-so wants to ask me a question, or I see e-mails posted on the forums, I have to ask. . ."What are you doing?" Write to me, and if I want to respond, I'll write back.By the way, the thread Observer is referring to is here: I closed it, so it won't show up in the active forum topics. That post says all I want to say (keeping in mind that I didn't even want to comment on it in the first place) about syf0n. I started moderating registration requests for a brief period when syf0n was registering several accounts per hour with the intention of spamming/flaming the forums. People keep forgetting that I paid for this software and run the site, so I will do as I see fit. . .I think I've done a decent job so far. I haven't moderated registrations in several weeks, though. Hopefully I won't have to ever again. Posted by Sithiee on Jul. 03 2001,02:24
ive never seen a submarina, but it sounds good. ive also never seen a checkers, but we have commercials for them all the fucking time. WHY WOULD YOU ADVERTISE SOMETHING THAT CANT BE FOUND?!?!?!?! thats just wrong. checkers = evil. at least dairy queen doesnt advertise what we cant have. and the subway slicing method for bread = good. ive had buns sliced down the middle, and let me tell you, they just dont compare. newfangled slicing methods = suck.------------------ quote: Posted by Rhydant on Jul. 03 2001,02:27
uhm...does anyone care about the fact that you banned syp0n anymore? i dont this so. no one liked him anyway, and i for one am glad i dont have to read his... insightful posts about cr0bar smoking more pot than the entirety of mexico in one day (sorry, i actually thought that was funny ) but eehh... lets get on with on lives, shall we? ------------------ Posted by Rhydant on Jul. 03 2001,02:30
er, sithiee, i think Sub Marina is based in san diego. and they make salads, too. "loose the bread, add the greens"------------------ Posted by askheaves on Jul. 03 2001,15:50
I didn't post to incite anything major. I just stumbled upon it in my inbox and thought it was pretty funny, and wanted to make sure it was for the reasons I suspected... namely, syf0n... which I have no problem with. He was an ignorant little hoser who didn't like rap.Oh, and I wish I could go on an all sandwich diet and lose 245 pounds... despite being around 170 lb. I tried going on a sandwich diet, and I ended up gaining all sorts of weight. He must be magical. Posted by PersonGuy on Jul. 03 2001,23:29
If I remember right, his thing was he ate normally Breakfast and Dinner, but REPLACED his lunch with a half-inch, low-fat turkey sub with lettuce and tomatos. And they didn't have the cool bread back then... so I assume he went white.------------------ Posted by Sithiee on Jul. 04 2001,02:04
half inch?!?!? dont you mean half foot? half inch would make him lose a lot more than 245 lbs.------------------ quote: Posted by gambit on Jul. 04 2001,02:40
Half inch..haha. People mess that up all the time. Either that or they order a 6 foot sub. One time when someone ordered a half inch I cut a 1/2" of bread for them and proceeded to make them thier sub until they said something about it. Then they felt dumb. I couln't help but laugh on the inside.------------------ Posted by PersonGuy on Jul. 04 2001,14:12
D'OH! Well... yah... HMF...
Posted by TheTaxMan on Jul. 04 2001,16:30
If you are eating five turkeys for lunch and then suddenly switch to a six inch sub while walking several miles, you will lose weight. If you normally eat less than or about the same as a sandwich for a meal you will not lose weight.

quote: did you push it? "no ma'am you clearly said half inch, i heard you!" then finish it and charge them the price of a 6 inch "sorry, we have to round up even on special orders." thatd be funny. maybe not. ------------------ quote: |
