I thought it might be interesting to find out where you all heard of cr0bar's mighty domain, or how you stumbled across it. I found this site one day when I was randomly typing in URL's to see what kind of sites I would find. I think the Matrix was on it's 12th page or so then. Been hooked ever since. ------------------

I am rather fond of this movie. When someone says any line in the movie while I'm watching I say the next 5 min. worth so they don't do it again.------------------

I came to detnet when it was slashdotted as well. I still follow the luminanet link. I'm the same as Anztac. Saw it in theatres 10+ times, bought the DVD, copied the VHS before it was released, and ordered it on PPV twice. The Matrix is my religion.

Man, finding detonate.net. That makes me laugh, thinking back to when I learned how to properly destroy a tenis ball, and a cassette tape. I found Detnet through a friend who is one of the guys that does Tech support for the ISP he works for on IRC, so he no doubt found out about it there. That was back when The Matrix wasn't even half over. This is where I spend all my time now. Man, if cr0bar was a hot chick, I'd marry him. . .er. . .her.------------------

i found it from a link on Hard OCP (i think!) when the matrix was on page 5. i was hooked  then the comments section came and i started coming everyday to talk you all you freaks (who are almost as freaky as me)

Umm, I am guessing more than 70\% know what IRC is. It's one of the main ways people got to the site, even if you don't use it you should know what it is.

I've been lurking for a few months now but, my memory being shocking, I don't quite remember how I stumbled onto this site except that I was following links Regardless to say, Matrix and Hackers were already completed, and Blade was, and still is, a work in progress. Which was good, as I think the best way to view them was all at one hit. As a former irc addict, the Matrix has left me chuckling and glancing over partitions to make sure that no-one is liable to get too curious (being at work and all). The Hackers made me actually rent out the vid to see what the original story was. *phew* What an essay! Sorry guys! Regardless to say, cr0bar is the best and I've actually posted a note on this site in the mud I help run. Back to lurking for me *wave*

Well, I reckon that when cr0bar reads some of my posts he may recognise my name from a couple of emails I sent him about detnet, the first was back when Matrix was half completed and the second was when he was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his Hackers DVD.Needless to say, I found this place not on IRC, but on ICQ, it was sent as a URL to me via a friend going by the name of Beatboy, otherwise known to me as Sonicops or more commonly known as Rob, and he's a cool guy, I just wish he'd found the place sooner so I could have been around to witness the beginning of cr0's 1337 b45t4rd154t10n 5ki115. I was bored one day so I typed something like 'kick ass links' in Google one day (the best general purpose search engine) and found a page (dunno what it was) that linked to the matrix bastardization...laughed my ass off...and decided to see what the rest of the site was like. Pretty damn cool site....can't think of a good sig yet...

One day, as i was looking for funny stuff in the web, i discovered a cool franch web page named "trouduculzhideout" (that means "assholeshideout"). It's a cool place to go if you speak french, it contains kind of lessons for the ll4m4z that wannabe 1337 lam0rz. I found the page around the 7th or so page of Matrix when a buddy emailed me the link. I followed it every day and kept reading the content. Then, when the content started going south (around when cr0 had to go to school again), he had a ton of links into the forums as a majority of it's content. So, followed the links, and started posting.Now, it's nice to see that the site has content again But I'm here for the forums.

Just want to say that I enjoy reading this thread :-) I get tons of e-mail every day from hardware sites that just reviewed another fucking CPU fan. . .link whores basically. I can remember that the original URL I visited was long, so it was bookmarked, since cr0 claimed that he would add one page a day. I also remember that this is at least the 2nd forum he's had. The first one I remember he said he took down because it was hacked or something. Hey cr0. When did you start The Matrix Basterdazation? I do not remember when I found detnet, some in time July 2000 or so give or take, I do remember the old links to the matrix parody. I got hooked on #detnet on EFnet, I didn't start going to detnet on a daily basis until like October or so.------------------
