How many other people are getting excited about this game? I know C&C2 sucked, but after seeing the Firingsquad preview, I have to say it looks pretty damn good.The difference is, it looks like Red Alert 2 will have tons of new stuff. The graphics/interface is basicly the same of course, but from what I've seen the units/plot/gameplay will be unlike anything I've seen in an RTS.

I've never really liked C&C, but as cr0bar said Tiberian Sun sucked nuts. I'm sure glad it was my friend who bought it and not me. He sure screwed the pooch on that one------------------

Am I the only person on the face of the planet that likes Tiberian sun?Quite possibly. Mind you, for me, a lot of the gameplay of strategy games is generated inside my mind, as i strategise into the night..

Personally, I didn't think Tiberium Sun was that bad, especially with Firestorm, which added a lot. But was certainly nothing special. It was an ok game, but it didn't stand out in any way.------------------

They took too long to release it, had they say released anywhere near the originally announced release date people probably wouldn't bash it nearly as much. Such goes almost every game that gets lots of hype before it is released, seems like hype + touting it lots before it's ready to ship = game is going to suck nutz.------------------

Im not sure what to think after Westwood royally screwed up on their last c&c title. I really do like the old red alert engine, maybe they can make a game with the same feel but new units. Thats what i want to see. Now that you remind me, im gonna go reinstall it...

I hate the westwood RTS's, except dune2 for the amiga. Don't know why, but I allmost fall asleep when playing them...Blizzards are better, but they still lack the worms  The worms rock!!

Looks like a complete rehash of Red Alert, and we know how rehashes turn out from Tiberian Sun. What interests me though is that they are dipping into more fantasy/sci-fi plots and characters. It's hard to say how that will affect the game's quality, if there is any quality to begin with.
So, while we're at it, what's your favorite unit at this time? I'd have to go with Legionnaires because they sound so wacked and the word is cool!------------------

C&C:TB != good ;
TA:kingdoms == better ;
Myth == best ;I require thinking in my games. I actually enjoy the stratagy in RTS's. Total Annihaliation: Kingdoms required some thinking and Myth required a lot. Thats why Myth didn't sell so much. ------------------

There was one game i played a lot years ago (in the days when 386s wern't too lousy)Utopia: creation of a nation.. Has never quite been duplicated to my knowledge. Somewhat excellent game..

i can tell that no one will care, but my favorite thing to do is take illegally gotten games, throw them onto my schools network, and run them as obscenely fast as they will go. it is tons of fun. the admin doesn't seem to like it much, though.oh, well, what are they going to do about it.
