I got this song from a friend, but it was completely untitled. Does anybody know the artist and title for it?Get it < here >. Posted by incubus on Aug. 04 2001,18:14
No, but if it's that important to you, write down the lyrics and go get some google action going.------------------ Posted by DuSTman on Aug. 04 2001,18:20
It seems to be Rodeo clowns by Philadelphonic.

bingbingbingDuSTman gets the l337 c00k13. ------------------ Posted by Observer on Aug. 04 2001,20:26
Actually, Philadelphonic was the name of the album. Did some checking, the artist is G. Love & Special Sauce.------------------ Posted by DuSTman on Aug. 04 2001,20:35
I was thinking along those lines, but then i found < www.philadelphonic.com. > The fact that that web site says it's copyright of philadelphonic, and also the purported existence of a Philadelphonic newsletter supports my initial hypothesis that Philadelphonic was the artist name and g love and special sauce is the album.. But I suppose it's academic. Posted by Blowgoats on Aug. 05 2001,20:49
No, it's G. Love & Special Sauce. I own the album. And it is called Philidelphonic.------------------ Posted by CowboyNeal on Aug. 05 2001,21:25
Well, that settles that! Whats for lunch? Now that you mention it, I could go for some 'special sauce' myself. . .This message has been edited by CowboyNeal on August 06, 2001 at 04:26 PM Posted by Blowgoats on Aug. 07 2001,01:02
I don't want to know...keep me out of your "special sauce..." *shudder*------------------ Posted by LazyGit on Aug. 07 2001,16:47
What is this Google thing? I think it could help me.There's this song I've heard loads of times but don't know what the fuck it is. It's like a kind of hip-hoppy funk song, it's pretty simple but it is unbelievably funkified. I know all the lyrics but don't know what it's called so how does Google help me? I've been to google.com and there doesn't seem to be anything there. I might still have a bit of trouble though. The only lyrics are: Wham! and that's it pretty much. Actually I favour altavista. < Altavista > is highly l337 for phrase searching and stuff like that when you're making very specific queries, but I use < google > when looking for more generic stuff. Posted by Observer on Aug. 08 2001,11:12
And how many search engines other than Google let you change the language of all its menus to "Bork! Bork! Bork!" or Elmer Fudd, or leetspeak?------------------ Posted by LazyGit on Aug. 08 2001,20:06
Okay, Google's amazing. Now how the fuck do I use it to search for a song?
Posted by DuSTman on Aug. 08 2001,20:23
Enter a phrase that's in the lyrics - there's usually someone somewhere has archived the lyrics of whatever it is you've searched for.. Thing is, if the only lyrics in your tune are "Wham!" then it'll be like trying to find a fart in a jacuzzi. |
