What's the most intense trip you have ever had?
What would you recommend?

Fav... shit I don't have a favorite right now.
I've smoked weed and tripped on Robitussin (DXM) as well as Freon (no lectures please, just did it one time out of wanting to expand my horizons)
Weed... hell we all know what that's like...
DXM made me feel very drunk but with no nausea or headache or hangover, but I was also having mild OEV's.
Freon had an onset of 5 seconds and made my vision spin 360, my friends looked like dwarves, all I did was laugh a whole bunch and punch my friend in the eye 3 times out of some sort of instinct. But damn what an awesome trip.
Recommend? DXM... get a bottle of Robitussin (NOT ROBITUSSIN DM!!) and drink it. Make sure whatever you do with DXM... that DXM is the only active ingredient in the product you're using, otherwise you can make yourself sick or very ill.

True psychedelics are the hallucinogens - LSD, psilocybin, mescaline, DOM, and various others (NOT ecstasy - MDMA is a stimulant with some hallucinogen-like properties, but it's closer to methamphetamine than LSD or mushrooms.)
Not that DXM is bad. I've done it a few times. And yeah, make sure that what you're ONLY has dextromethorphan HBr - most cough syrup preparations have other drugs in them also, like

- acetaminophen. OD'ing on this stuff happens around 3g, about as much as you'll get from taking 3X the recommended dose of cough syrup. It causes severe liver damage.
- guafenesin. This stuff won't cause any long-term damage if you OD, you'll just puke your guts out.
- pseudoephedrine : ODing on this shit is horrible. Heart palpitations, profuse sweating, shakiness, intense anger and depression, and if you're unlucky you'll have a heart attack.
- doxylamine succinate : at high doses, this will make you extremelly tired.
- diphenhydramine : same as doxylamine succinate, but makes you even MORE tired.
It can be hard to find cough syrup that only contains DXM, but it's out there. Accept no substitutes. Usual recreational dose is 200 to 300mg, lasts 6-8 hours, during which time you'll feel kind of drunk but be way too stimulated to fall asleep. Music will sound very cool. You'll bond with your friends. Weed makes the experience better, and you'll be able to take enormous bong rips without coughing.

Weed is a psychedelic, but it's a very mild one. Probably the best psychedelic use is to smoke weed while tripping on LSD or shrooms.
Anyway, a TRUE psychedelic has very pronounced visuals. On LSD, patterns squirm like mad, colors change at random, angels fly out of the lava lamp, and Jerry Garcia appears to you in the stucco of the wall. You'll have trouble telling the difference between having your eyes closed and open, because either way you see the same amount of stuff. Time will change speed at random, from an hour passing in 5 minutes to 2 seconds taking a matter of minutes. You'll question your own sanity. LSD is fun 
Shrooms are a bit more mellow, but they are still decidedly visual. At normal doses, colors will change, size & distance perception will be thrown out the window (not just the "flattening" that happens on weed - my cat always looks like she has a head the size of a Lego man on the body of a tiger, and going outside feels like walking into another room in my house), and everything will be hilarious.
If you're looking for a recreational hallucinogen, go for shrooms - LSD is too strong if you just want to have fun.

the only expirience i've had with drugs would be lsd, mushrooms, ghb, weed, and ecstacy. like i said the absolute minimum.
and they have all been positive expreriences so i can't complain. of course i am presently drunk, so...

Seriously, shrooms are by far my favorite drug (I tried that cough-syrup shit bit didn’t find it very entertaining) from what I understand mushrooms, and probably LSD, mess with the part of your brain that recognizes novelty; the result is that everything you see, hear and do is totally unique and beautiful. Walking around you own house is like exploring someone else’s house for the first time.
