The second and third instalments of the Matrix series are going to be filmed in Sydney.

w00t!!!

Apparently, the budget for the next movie is about twice that of the first... Its also the bigest project by Warner Bros. ever, anywhere...

well, that bit where morpheus showed neo the real world was filmed in australia, i'm relly not suprised they're filming it over there...

heh reminds me of that commerical for (i think it was) sprite, where the managment guys come up with all the marketing schemes and toys and shit for this slug movie, then when the top guy asks "is there a plot" they say "we can slap one together by next week". hehe

dude, it was fucking filmed in australia. watch the fucking documnetaries on the fucking dvd. first off, everyone who isnt brough over from america and china, has an australian accent. agent smith has an australian accent. notice how the buildings are not from any major american city? thats because theyre in AUSTRALIA! jesus.

Dammit you're mostly matrix fans and you didn't know at least that much about the movie?

Matrix 2 comes i think this summer, and matrix three i heard was supposed to be christmas 2001 or 2002.

Matrix 2 I heard once again (just rumours) that it was supposed to have more explosions and a car chasing scene.. and.. i dunno..

They have already (or at least two of those three) signed contracts with keanu reeves and .. whats her name again.. carrie-anne moss, and laurence fishburne to play in the other two movies. I also heard agent smith will be in it too.. WOOHOO! he was a personal favourite, and... thats about all the info i dug up.. if it was real anyways.

Sounds like the new agents are silver dreadlocked dudes, or something. Carrie Ann Moss was driving a car around town with Lawerence Fishbourne on a Cell phone in the passenger seat of a new Mercedes. Nifty, eh? It's really happening

keanu reeves is a simplistic but pretty cool actor and.. AGENT SMITH! dude i loved that guy he was so awesome in the movie.

Too bad it got delayed. They were going to release M2 on the same weekend as SW:E2.

That would have been one hell of a weekend.

Italian actress Monica Bellucci (Malena) is in talks to star opposite Keanu Reeves in the two sequels to The Matrix, which are slated to begin production in Oakland, Calif., in March, Variety reported. Bellucci--a native of Perugia, Italy--recently graced the cover of Esquire magazine, draped only in caviar, the trade paper reported.

Bellucci joins Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Laurence Fishburne and Hugo Weaving in the Matrix sequels, which will be directed by Andy and Larry Wachowski.
