I don't know how many active members we have... but doesn't it seem that we have some sort of power as a group? I mean, we can't lobby the voting booth or anything, but we could use our mob mentality to attack other things that would be impossible by a single man!

For example, we could all sprank call a restraunt on a certain day or something. That's the only think I can think of... any suggetions?

I don't really care what it is... I just think we should band together and do SOMETHING!

(any suggetions on a buisness to prank call?)

I'm no legal expert, but isn't it illegal to try to repeal or overturn the DMCA? It seems to cover everything else, why not a self-protection clause?

Remember that movie "Sneakers"? With Robert Redford and (yummy) River Phoenix?

They hacked banks and networks and all (and gave all the republican money to minorities etc...). Couldn't the combined 1337 skills of these forums achieve the same?

We can take down The Internet™ just by buying Windows XP. After all, it has RAW sockets - the deadliest thing The Internet™ has ever seen!

On a more serious note, we could organize a "write your congressperson & tell them to revoke the DMCA" campaign...

Read everything that's on the site.
The whole site. Not just one page. The site.

...
The site.

DMCA = Digital Millenium Copyright Act, it's a law passed by congress to stop illegal mass-copyright infringement stuff like Napster. Unfortunately it was written in very broad terms by people whom know nothing about technology. It pretty much makes possesing the ability to commit a crime illegal, as opposed to actually commiting the crime.

You mean it provides legal grounds for calling Napster "illegal mass copyright infringement". You don't pass laws to stop crime, you pass them to define crime
