I'm a janator at NIGHT, so my oservations are only based on that they probably don't buy the CD first, and then go use the bathroom, and while in the bathroom open it. And since I only get the after the picture view, it's impossible the judge the race of the person who STEALS them (except for "BIG BOOTY! YAH, BOYEEE!"). ESPECIALLY with latino and rap music which is borderine POP now!
Oh, and take note... NO Eminem has been stolen yet! And it's 1 every 3 days. This is 30 over 3 months.
I've also found a box for GoldenEye (N64 game) and Mario Party 2.

But my entire case is built around the fact that there are people watching. I agree that people don't take stacks of CD's in. But believe it or not, ONE CD disappearing is noticeable. And if we see them stick it into a pocket . . . I'm not saying that we catch them all. I'm just saying that we try and we do a good job of it.
I know for a fact that there are white "preppy" thieves, too. In fact, that's the large percent in my area. I'm more likely to watch them than a grunge. These are the kids who think it's fun, or they're just lazy. These are the real fools.

Those are ONLY accounting for the WOMENS' bathroom. You see, they have a little box on the side of every stall where they throw away used tampons. That's where they usually put the plastic wrappers. I assume that in the men's, they either flush them, or throw them in the regular trash.

Ok I didn't describe that very well...
First of all, it's PART of my job to clean those things out (but it's not as bad as it sounds):
Attached to the side wall of each stall is a white plastic box with a hinged lid on top. When you look inside, there is a small waxed paper bag. Women put them inside the paper bag. When I get there (I wear THICK rubber dish gloves, BTW) I simply pull out the bag, throw it away, and replace it with a new paper bag. The CD wrappers are usually alongside the paper bag in the box (in other words, NOT in the bag with the tampons).
But this actually isn't much of a problem anymore because I talked to our security department, and now they have scanners between the electronics department and the rest of the store. However, empty wine bottles still show up every once in a while.
