well... i went out to my car this morning to find my back window broken and my cd player, subwoofers, and subwoofer amp all missing. thanks a fucken lot whoever did that.

that was 񘈨 (approx 躔 US) of equipment... just gone. and my car was right outside my house, in a quiet neighborhood. what really worries me is that it must have been someone who knew me, and knew what they were doing, cause nothing else in the car was touched, not even the VERY expensive inline-skates i had right next to the subwoofers. someone went deliberately to my car, took exactly what they were after, and fucked off. and i had just bought all that shit!!

i know this sounds more like a rant. oh well. just needed to let that out

If you have the serial numbers for your equipment the chance is that they'll be picked up. File a police report, that way if they try to sell them to any hock shops it'll instantly be recognised as stolen property and the goods and maybe even the culprits can be pinpointed.
I know what it's like to have things stolen like that. I'd give my left testicle to catch them in the act... just to walk up to them right as they're bent inside the car trying to unscrew the housing and to belt 'em straight in the joy department.
I'm kidding mind you... about the testicle part anyway.
Posted by fatbitch on Jan. 28 2001,02:48
yeah psaph thats what the police lady told me (about the serial numbers)... pity i dont have them tho. but i will go cruising the local hock shops just to see.

and yeah solid, i am pissed

I really, really hate people who do shit like that. IF YOU WANT A STEREO THEN GO OUT AND BUY ONE MOTHER FUCKER .
The only people I (possibly) hate more are the ones who can’t get your stereo out (because they are fucking dumb) so they just trash it and leave. I mean, come on, that’s just fucking malicious

My condolences fatbitch, i feel for ya. i had my subs and amps jacked last year too.

good luck, do you have insurance to cover it?? If you (or your parents) have homeowners insurance, that might cover the theft because it was at your house. you might check into that

THAT SUCKS!

Something (not very) similar happened to me, and I know how you can get it back AND catch him.

Put out a 躔 reward for whoever turns him in! Someone out there KNOWS this guy, and KNOWS he did it! If he hawks it, he's not going to pay his "friends" THAT much each to keep them all quiet. And if you're planning on buying a new 񘈨 system, now you'll get one AND catch the guy for half the price!

If that doesn't work... as a tempory escape from you problems, come over here and give me some lovin! heh

That sucks donkey balls, fatbitch...
My good friend just got his system stolen/wrecked a couple weeks ago. He had the best system in the city. He took out the back seat in his Saturn and put a wall of 6 12" PPIs in its place... man that they thumped. You could hear him coming from over a block away. Anyway, they took his deck and tweets, and knifed the subs cause they couldn't get them out of the box. Luckily it was insured, and he gets a lot of money for it. He's actually really lucky cause he patched a couple of them up and they aren't that bad till his new Bostons come in.

Moral of the story: Make sure you have insurance and a good alarm just to be sure.

the week i left for school, someone broke into my car at the subway parkinglot and jacked my stereo. they also fucked up the dashboard plate which is missing permanantly. lucklily i got it replaced (with a 贄 deductable grr). actually they replaced it with a newer model that was worth that much more anyway. three days later someone broke into my mom's car. they tried to steal the hole thing buy messing with the wires in the steering column. luckily they were unsuccessful, but it took 2 weeks to repair it. needless to say, our family doesn't park there anymore.

just another example of the ghettoization of my community back home. bleh

it wasnt insured, since the car is not worth much, its not worth it to ensure it, though i was gonna buy an alarm. grr. that is a really good suggestion about the homeowners insurance, i am having dad look into that, thanks man

and i would have loved to catch him in the act, but i dont know when it was done, or who would have done it, etc

yeah like what cyrino said, damn that would suck man, slashing the subs, what a dumb motherfucker. thankfully nothing else in my car was touched, it was actually very surgical the way they removed everything.

i have some very definite fingerprints (my car was very dusty heh) and the police are gonna have a look at them today, though i dont hold much hope without the serial no's

That sucks dude. My cousin had his stereo stolen while it was at a body shop. I remember reading on a car forum that a guy put cut up razor blades around his head unit and the next day he came out and there was blood all in his car. So he filed a police report and they got the blood and matched it to a guy that went to the hospital to have his fingers stitched up. Think the guy almost lost his fingers.

Fuck man....if I EVER found out who did that shit, I'd fuckin KILL them. Go to their house and bust the fuck out of it. Do all that anarchy cookbook shit to that motherfucker. I'd be sooo pissed if anyone stole any shit like that from any of my property. I feel like punching the motherfucker that did that to yer car Fatbitch. I hope you find out who did it, so you can kick his ass. Or get your stuff back. Either way...

One of my friends in school had his 񘈨 stereo stolen out of his car. A year later, he found out it was his step-brother that stole it and sold it for drug-money. His mom got all pissed, and my friend got a new computer right before school started

My car was broken into in downtown milwaukee. It was actually my gf's at the time, as i had not bought it yet. So, 4 kids pulled in to the school parking lot (underneight a bridge) n a Nissan. They all hopped out, picked 4 cars (it was summer, so there were about 7 cars in the lot), and all started breaking in. The cops rolled by, caught them in the act, and chased them all down. Looking around my car, the 6 disk changer was ripped out, but the wires from the console to the player ran under the door trim. the trim was ripped up, but he couldn't get the wires out, so he just busted the wires and didn't get the little Remote Control receptor. I saw that the guy had left his backpack on the drivers seat because he couldn't get away fast enough

Last year, my neighbor (in the dorms) got a call from the cops: "Your car's been broken into..dah dah dah". Then my phone rang: "Is Chris xxx there?" "Yeah" "Your car's been broken into..dah dah dah". They parked next to each other, so the guy broke into both their cars. They caught the guy, but my neigbhor didn't get his detachable face plate back. That was the only thing stolen He actually got it back a couple days later, all broken and shit. Bad days.

Anyways, enough boring stuff. Sorry, fatbitch. You're welcome to come here too, you sexy bastard

well u never know.. u might end up coming across some gear that is yours, then u can bust the guys ass!
Posted by fatbitch on Jan. 30 2001,17:52
aww thanks heaves *sniff*

the thing that sux the most is that this shit happens, to thousands of ppl, every day, as your post showed.

"IF YOU WANT A STEREO THEN GO OUT AND BUY ONE MOTHER FUCKER"
couldn't have said it better myself

thing is now... i dont really have that much money, but i really want that shit back. buying hot gear has seriously entered my mind, but that is probably exactly the kind of activity that prompted my car's breaking into. 2 wrongs dont make a right.. but i really liked that shit, and i at least want a radio. my car is so damn quiet

i know buying stolen gear is wrong... and you can think i am a hipocrytical shithead for even suggesting it, then i wont argue with you... but... argh

*mental picture of fatbitch and askheaves in the same place*

my car never got broken into or anything, but i had some people try to steal my stuff before. they were my roommates friends and i caught them trying to unplug all the cables from my computer (duh.).

they didn't actually accomplish anything, but they also never tried again. so i'm happy.

I need to...my locks don't work right.

If you do end up shooting the prick make sure he dies. If he lives he can sue you for everything you have and probably win, in the USA that is...

Worse than that, Greesemonk. If you don't shoot him, he could slip and hurt himself, or maybe even wound himself. In that case, he can sue you for having a dangerous place to break into. Make sure you shoot him no matter what, kill him soundly, and hide the body... that way the family can't sue you. If robbers knew that that's what would happen to them if they broke in, I think they would at least be a little wary.

no no, not you. the guy with the car that doesn't lock...

Incidents occuring with friends of mine having their shit stolen is exactly why i did a "stealth" install of the stereo on my bonneville. All of my sony ES speakers live under factory grilles. No subs because i like trunk space, but the 6x9's i have hit like a motherfucker for what they are. The panasonic head unit is detach face. The only problem is, though, the bonneville has got to be one of the EASIEST to steal stereos ever. I can pull it out of the car without damaging the dash in about 20 seconds. the whole front of the dash basically pulls off of spring clips, and then it's 3 screws. since then, i added a couple of blind-mounted bolts behind the stereo that i had to use a couple of U-joints on my wrench to install

Oh, and the alarm system that will trigger with one pull of the driver's door handle helps too
