I'm back from a class trip to Rome and it was great. Lots of stuff to visit (including the Pope), lots of wine to drink, lots of fun to have.

We had great weather (summer temperatures of around 30 Celsius, do the maths yourselves), which means that we could sit outside in the evenings and party. I picked up some Italian phrases which might be useful. I think I am the only girl in my class who did not buy a fake Gucci handbag (I am sort of proud of myself)! I went to the cinema and actually understood the movie! Petrarca poems are wonderful. These are some first impressions after traveling back from Italy about 20 hours in crowded trains... I'll tell you more tomorrow after a shower and some sleep...
