Narator with lifestyles-rich-famous-accent: Why is PersonGuy laughing HYSTARICALLY? On a normal Monday like TODAY he'd be SULKING, but something quite UNUSUAL. What could possibly have driven the fellow Det.Neter to ABSOLUTE MADDNESS?

His most recent package delivery has BEEN discovered to have come FROM: < http://www.wishtech.com/default.htm >

What could this possibly mean? Only YOU can unlock the AMAZING MYSTERY!

n64 controller to usb interface? wtf? you've gone made. at least dont be such a cheap ass and get a MS sidewinder or a logitech...my god man you are using a dinky nintendo controller with a PC...you offend me!

Posted by pengu1nn on Nov. 14 2000,15:53
whats wrong with that?
why spend more on another controller when you can use one for two?
Posted by Cyrino on Nov. 14 2000,18:13
Ya, and N64 controllers don't suck, remember?

And I suppose the clunky, slow-responding Dreamcast controller or sloppy, uncomfortable, maldesigned, confusing Playstation controller rules!

What do you think of the Game Cube controller... it looks pretty weird to me. I guess the big N knows what they're doing though...

i like the psx controller...you see (now i know this is an amazing concept) you can use ALL the buttons without moving your hands...call me crazy (you wouldnt be far off) but that seems like a good idea! and analog triggers on the dreamcast controller? yeah man...thats really dumb....cause you can yknow, have analog uses...

The PS2 default controller is just like the DualShock controllers for the PS1, except they are black and everything is basically analog. The buttons and the D-Pad are all capable of responding differently according to the speed and force used on the buttons. I don't think any games take advantage of this, but the capability is there. With the DC controllers, the analog triggers actually have about a 1/4 - 1/2 inch travel, making them effective for throttles or braking on driving games... or for screwing you up when you want to fire a gun. (I don't have a DC, mostly because the controller was so nasty... N64, same thing... i do have a PS2 because it Kix0rz Azz0rz).

ok thanks, i get it now

guys it's easy. dont use a console gamepad at all!

get a real one that is meant to used with a pc cos then you get all the funky macro and custom setups that go with it. and if you get a ms sidewinder it has that movement thing as well where if you tilt the pad it translates into something...like in motocross madness where you can use it to lean left and right...cool eh?

Why use a PSX (one) controller? They're ฤUS or cheaper if you go with clone pads. So if it goes you're not out a whole bundle. I use my wheel with my PC for racing games. You can either go with the USB interface, or if you want to try getting FF from it, check < here > for an LPT interface. It's great for people who have laptops (like I did) with no game port.

And don't forget... it also acts as a Dex drive. Those things still cost more that this hook up!
