have you ever wondered if your name stays on the who's online list after you close your browser or go to another site? it's like trying to figure out if the refridgerator light goes off when you close the door!

Wow, only a retard would start a topic like this. When you close the window a subroutine (added as a mod to UBB) takes you off the list.

Even though he'll say he's just joking, CK strikes me as the type who really is curious about the fridge.

uhm, NO. YUO LOSE. theres a thing called a session... and a session TIMEOUT. so you stay on the list for oh, five seconds after you load a page. each time you load a page the session becomes active again, it knows where you are, and it will continue showing your name until you are inactive for 5 minutes or whatever its set for.

Curses to Mattimeo! I had no idea how it worked actually, but I know that it obviously does work or else it wouldn't be available. Anyways I just made up something dumb that an idiot like CK would buy. And you had to go and ruin it...oh well.

I personally am just too lazy to keep having to log back in if I close my browser. I have to say that is a super sucky quality about this particular forum. Most that I visit will remember it on a more permanent basis. Not by the browser session . Plus I stay on at work all day too because I have no motivation and I get a lot of fits of boredom when at work. DetNet keeps me entertained most of that time.

YEAH! My dad always says duct tape will fix ANYTHING. He even had to fix a pair of his bdu's when he was out hunting 1 time by using duct tape!
