over a 56k i suck too. u know ur running speed in quake was determined by ur connection speed?
Posted by fatbitch on Jan. 20 2001,10:57
solid, i still play quake, and that is bullshit
Posted by Sithiee on Jan. 20 2001,11:42
that woud mean in a lan that youd run so fast they would have to give you damage for hitting walls...not to mention whoever the server is would be going..well...really fast...

i never claimed to be a good gamer ------------------ Posted by solid on Jan. 21 2001,00:00
as i saw it, compared to the speeds of all the cable users, i walked, they ran. (yes, i was on run mode in quake)

Yay! Something I can use to corrupt those text-only terminals at school! School-wide DMs not limited to those SOBs with the CAD machines in the pre-eng room... no I don't hate them, really.Stomper Posted by Spydir Web on Jan. 22 2001,20:34
there's a kid at my school that installed a demo for quake 3 on one of the library computers... One day after school we're gonna try to get it on the network, deep sink it in directories, and possible set some on-the-fly compression/encryption on it so they can't do much to it (with a password, of course). I mean, it's technically against the rules and all, but you gotta admit : putting Q3A on a school computer is pretty damned l33t I might have to see about getting this ASCII quake on there to, just for the laugh ------------------ Posted by Sithiee on Jan. 22 2001,20:56
we have quake on about 10 school computers, GTA2 on like 3, and we used to have UT on about 15, theres UG on a couple, and tribes as well. youre not l33t.

holy crap, that's a lotta games .Considering this is high school inwhich they have a pretty good lockdown on the computers (considering few students actually know how to use them, much less install a damned thing), it's got some l33t-ness to it. Might not be 31337, but it's atleast 31334... who knows, if we can get a couple more things maybe even 31336... ------------------ Posted by jim on Jan. 22 2001,22:27
Quake has also been ported to the PDA.Only the iPaq running Windows Pocket PC. ------------------ Posted by Sithiee on Jan. 22 2001,22:43
yeah, our network administrators know what we do, and they dont care, i bet yours probably dont either...
Posted by solid on Jan. 23 2001,03:43
our 'netowork administrator' were trying to tell us about "Windows NT, ehh?" and "the START button, ehh?"aka they dont know slack shit, theyre old, and we need replacements! (you know i know this belonged in the rants forum, but thanks for wasting your time for me) Posted by PersonGuy on Jan. 23 2001,13:55
Mess with a Win95er:1) Click on the "START" button 2) Press "ESC" 3) Press "ALT" and "-" 4) Click "Close" ------------------ |
