The Politics forum has been created in order to relieve the noise in the Classroom. The new forum is moderated; all posts are queued pending moderator approval. This should help with flame control as well as keeping the trolls out.Now, of course, we have the problem of having entirely too many forums. We will be condensing them in the next few days after we're done arguing about what goes where.
S/L members, please pay a visit...

Aww, I was missed.Seriously though, I didn't know about the new forum when I got around to posting, and I hadn't intended to be gone as long as I was.

damn it. that's my second forum idea implemented so far, and I still haven't gotten any adminship *sigh* oh well.
BTW: I think removing the 'content for Detnet forum is a Bad Thing. we have noplace else to grade content and get feedback, and to announce content. merging games and media ought to be enough.

answer : because it is really, really nice to have a forum where we can keep pointless noise like yours from intruding on a good discussion.

hehe ..just keep everybody in the know about what forums are managed and which ones are free range. Sometimes it's nice to laugh at the idiots ...sometimes they just get on your nerves.

This idea was pure brilliance, btw.Seems to have filtered everything quite nicely.
This has made room for much hilarity, it would seem, as I have not laughed (or strained to not laugh in a public lab) so much as today from the forum in a long time.
